  • Great production board
Picked this up in box whites. First off, if you have never typed on box whites and you enjoy a clicky switch (even if you don't you should really give these a try if you haven't) then these are the switches for you. They are not super loud like mx blues, they are not scratchy at all, they are super smooth except for the slight bump you feel when going over the click bar. Kailh BOX Whites are some of the best clicky switches on the market right now. They are right up there with BOX Jades imo. I actually prefer these because they are just so good to type on. They even work well for gaming. This keyboard is an amazing production board. The build quality is up there with any production board on the market. The stabilizers are lubed and there is no rattle to be found. The switch selection should have something for everyone here. If you haven't tried BOX switches and are debating on this board I would recommend any of them. No key wobble here. The RGB is fantastic and very vibrant, and the board offers a lot of options and even custom lighting you can set up in the software (which was easy to download and use). The aluminum case makes this thing feel like a tank. My only gripe with the Hades 68 has been remedied by the addition of PBT doubleshot, seamless, shine-through caps. I am in love with this thing and will be using it for all of my work that I do at home. The typing experience is so satisfying with the BOX whites. I own just about every production 60% board you can buy (2 Ducky One 2 Minis, Vortex Pok3r, Anne Pro, Anne Pro 2, RK61, etc.) and this is right up there with the Ducky One 2 Mini and Pok3r. Heck, the Pok3r wishes it had these quality stabilizers. If you are on the market for a 60% board and don't want to go with a Ducky One 2 Mini, grab one of these and you won't be disappointed. Get some BOX switches and you will not be disappointed. I even hear in the future they will be offering even more switch options. I will not hesitate to grab another one of these when BOX Jades are available in it. I also want to try one with the BOX Reds. I have said it numerous times in this review, you really cannot go wrong here. It checks all the boxes. I will still use my Ducky One 2 Mini for my primary gaming board, but for everything else the Durgod HK Venus will be on my desk for the forseeable future. Only way I replace it (will never take over my custom) is when I get another Venus if it comes out in the color white and with Box Jades inside. ... show more

  • Great feeling great RGB but disconnects randomly
First, I love this Keyboard the build quality is amazing and I purchased with the MX Red Silent Switches or MX Red V2 interchangeable names from what I have read. The sound this keyboard gives off is amazing super quiet and just stealthy (switches will vary in sound but ALL will have reduced noise due to the dampening material under the PCB). The RGB is very bright, brighter than any Razer or Logitech that I have seen. I don't know much about how the keycaps feel as I replaced mine right away with Hyper X Pudding caps. The stabilizers are very nice and have almost no roughness to them due to being factory lubed. This software, though sorta difficult to find (Hera Keyboard Compiler) is a little weird to get used to but you can figure it out fairly quickly and does a nice job at being able to customize your keyboard layout quickly. The only issue I've had is that my keyboard will disconnect randomly and then reconnect right away. About 90% of the time this happens so quick it's non issue minus the sound windows gives for disconnecting and reconnecting a USB device. I have swapped out the original cable it came with and though that seemed to help a little bit it still does happen. Also the other 10% of the time the keyboard will lock up and I will have to remove the cable and reconnect it to get it to work again. Side note swapping the USB C cable with a new one turned out to be a real pain due to the recessed port. In the pictures it appears to be fairly large but in practice I had 1 cable that fit it. The others were to large to fit in the port. I have messaged the company regarding this and they have not gotten back to me. Due to the annoyance of this issue (actually it just happened while writing this review) I have decided to keep the board as a back up but have purchased a different board to replace this product. I really enjoy this board from sound to build quality but having a board that disconnects randomly is very annoying especially at this price point. I have heard that this is only an issue in humid climates but I live in the US and in WI and it is currently winter so I'm not convinced that is the cause of this due to it being very dry out. In short if you don't mind dealing with this issue it's a great board. ... show more
