  • Excellent Performance For The Price
Style: Anti-Slip Tooth
Extra long flex head box ratcheting wrenches are really handy in way more applications than you would think until you have them. They've made a huge difference when doing front end/steering/suspension work. I will readily admit that I have used these to break stubborn and rusted bolts (best practice is to use a regular box end or breaker bar to break the nut free, then switch to the ratcheting) and they are still holding up perfectly fine. The 6 point non-slip heads have nice tight tolerances and have not marred any fasteners I've used them on. Overall fit and finish is better than I expected at this price point. Flex heads have some lateral slip in the pinned joints, but the pins can be tightened. All the ratcheting heads were excellent in terms of smoothness and back drag, except the 17mm for some reason was very stiff and almost "crunchy". Let it take a bath in automatic transmission fluid over a weekend, worked the mechanism a bit, and she's great now. Probably a little swarf left over from manufacturing binding up in the pawls or something, at this price point I consider slight QC issues to be perfectly acceptable. These are great wrenches for DIY and home-gamers, and if you're a professional tech just starting out these would serve you fine until you can afford a set of Mountains or comparable tool truck set. These are FANTASTIC to have in a junkyard tool kit in particular. ... show more

  • Great wrenches for the price
Style: Anti-Slip Tooth
I bought the upgraded ones with the non rounding feature. I used them to change GMC brakes. The caliper mounting brackets were on really tight like a gorilla last tightened them down. I had to put all my might on the 19mm wrench. I was worried it would brake or bend at the hinge but it didn’t. The head of the bolt did round a bit but the non rounding feature of the wrench didn’t let it go to the point where head was fully damaged. The bolt came out but was jammed in the wrench. I had to put it in my vise and use a punch and hammer to knock the bolt out which worked fine and no damage to the chrome wrench. I did wrap it in a rag to prevent marring. Something to watch out for, when I went to reinstall the bolt I reversed the wrench to tighten. I got to the point where torque was beginning to be applied. The minimally rounded head of the bolt slipped into the non slip teeth of the wrench and the bolt was now jammed again in the wrenches grasp. I don’t blame the manufacturer, this is a caveat of the design. I had to use a flat head screw driver and hammer to dislodge the stuck wrench this time I just gave it a shot or two and it came loose. Left a small mark on the wrench but it’s fine it’s a wrench. Finished applying the rest of the torque with a socket wrench. Overall, Buy them, they are nice. I like how long they are giving plenty of leverage. The pivot head is convenient for tough to reach bolts. The chrome finish is quality and the roll up case will help keep them organized. Good addition to the tool box. ... show more

  • Well Priced Compact 6pt Flex Ratcheting Wrench Set.
Style: Anti-Slip Tooth
For the price I'd highly recommend. Keeping as part of my road kit as the set rolls up nice and is pretty compact for the sizes offered. So far these have saved me on a couple of jobs. For a ratcheting flex these have a decent amount of give. A major plus is this is one of the few sets that are six point ratcheting in this price range. The set itself looks good and feels each wrench has a decent weight. Durability seems fair - they are flex ratchets so it's expected in my opinion to fail faster than a non-flexible non-ratcheting tool, time will tell. Downside is ratcheting direction is not switchable - but those mechanisms usually cause increased wrench thickness. These are great to get into certain tight for areas - just be wary of backing out a bolt too far. This set exceeded my expectations I had for this purchase. So much so that I looked into some of their other sets to have as part of my emergency and road kits. ... show more

  • Liked 'em Better than OMT
Style: Regular
Despite being a little smaller and thinner than the OMT wrenches, then craftsmanship looked and felt better. The OMT wrenches were deformed and the chrome was peeling off. Pros: ratcheting mechanism was smooth and they look great. They felt more comfortable in the hand because they have a smooth edge (not as square as OMT's). The quality of the bag was better than expected. Cons: Loose heads (the OMTs aren't any better in that aspect). The screws are torx-shaped and broke several of my torx bits (as least the screws are strong). Tightening the screws doesn't improve the floppiness (it didn't work in the OMT wrenches either). I guess they just would have had to be manufactured with more precision. I would have gotten the tekton if they were available, but these cheaper ones are plenty fine for now. Use a breaker bar or combination wrench to break bolts, then use these to do the rest; they're not breaker bars! ... show more

  • Love 'em
Style: Regular
With tools especially, I like to wait a bit and see how they hold up under repeated use before I write a review. Well, these did just fine -- and not just on standard flathead bolts but even on Torx heads (though I'd recommend using these to wrench, not to break loose tight heads, particularly with Torx). Though they're not made for Torx, they're precise and fit fine so long as you're not torquing (if a Torx bolt is tight, you really want to be using a Torx socket or wrench). I know some full-time mechanics have complained these wrenches won't hold up under daily work, and I won't say they're wrong -- I frankly don't know -- but for my periodic DIY jobs on my cars, they've done just fine. I haven't had a problem with a DuraTech tool yet, and I own a bunch. As for the folks who complain that a long wrench is used for lots of torque, there I would disagree -- I used these where I need a long reach. If I needed lots of torque, I'd use a long fixed wrench -- common sense should tell you a screwed pivot head wrench is not the right tool for a frozen bolt. ... show more

These are a life saver ! They are a must ! Can’t count the times these have came in clutch !..also, these aren't breaker bars they aren’t meant for that ! So for the people the have posted bad reviews because they broke there’s trying break free rusted bolts.. well that’s on you!
