I don't like to use those 18 gauge zip wire two conductor extension cords. Besides not having a ground plug, it is too easy to overload them when using something like a space heater. I received two six foot extension cords. They are 16 gauge and UL listed. The length is just the right length for using around house. Typically you find cords that are 25 feet long or longer, and they are bright orange. Black makes them more practical for indoor use. The female plug on one of the cords is very very tight. (So, minus one star.) There might have been some sort of assembly error, however, they work fine. UPDATE: Our power went out for eight days. We use generators and lithium power stations to keep things going when the power is out. These cords really came in handy. Except ... the one with the tight/bad female end was a real pain. I can't get it to completely close with a male end, and it might be getting worse. They both still function, but I am taking off a star. UPDATE 2: Another power outage. I can no longer use one of the two cords. The female connector will not accept a plug. Removing another star. ... show more
