The easiest way to test a set like these is to start using them in your daily work and see how they hold up. I noticed on the first day how much better these were than some of the tools I had been carrying. My first realization came with the wire cutters on the needle nose pliers and how easily they sliced through cables. That sounds pretty obvious, but a lot of cheaper brands take some force to cut through solid wire whereas these felt much nicer to use. I do wish that the adjustable crescent wrench had longer jaws so I could use the bigger sizes with some more grip, but I haven’t had an issue that made me stop and get another tool as of yet. One of the wrenches did come with a bit of surface rust. I worry about the longevity of these if not maintained in ideal conditions. Very happy with this set, though quality control could be an issue. ... show more

I got these for my tool kit since I am the one doing most of the home maintenance lately. The color is stunning on the grips, they are also long and easy to grip. I don't think you could use them to remodel a house quality wise (Can see where the black is rubbing off) but they are perfect for keeping things going! ... show more

This is a great all-around set of tools. The Length is excellent. They are just over 8" The grips are there to stay. They are not those dipped ones. They are 'Over-molded' so they should be on good. The pliers are nearly perfect and have 3 different sized arcs in the jaws. I really like that. It has the two standard settings for the grip and it slips into each one great. The needle nosed have a very good cutter and ground nose. The one downside is there is no spring. I do a lot of one-handed electrical work so I do need the one with the spring. The slip-joints are especially done well. I took a picture of the actual gripper grooves. Very thick and beveled for a non-slip grip. As good or better than the actual 'Channel lock' brand. The adjustable is good. A bit unfinished but that's fine. The graduations are there but not very clear. I don't use those anyway but I always figure if you are adding them then make them readable. Color contrast is key. The box has a nice insert that you can take out and use in your toolbox as an organizer. About the only thing I did not like is that they show an inset picture on the front of the box showing how their tools have a better leverage spot built into them. However if you look at the tools inside the box....they do not. They would have been better off not adding that detail. Bottom line, Great set of tools. These are a good set of home tools. There's all the basic necessities to pull, hold or twist wires, and loosen, hold or tighten nuts or bolts. All the tools are 8 inches long which is great to get into most spaces. Each tool has rubber black and blue grips for your hands and the nose end of the tools are serrated for additional grip on hardware. The tools come pre-oiled in a nice storage box, so they won't corrode or rust while in storage. Overall, these are great for the homeowner who needs to work around the house. Get yourself a decent set of screwdrivers to add to this and you're set. ... show more

I needed more pliers/wrenches at home (I have many but cant find any of them) so I ordered this set for my wife so I know we will be able to find them again when needed. Upon arrival i pulled these out of box and was immediately super impressed. The majority of pliers/wrenches I own came from tool sets or freebies from harbor freight.. These do not compare at all.. They are thick, comfortable to hold, heavy, and well oiled. My wife even complained that one was leaking oil.. I was not complaining.. They are very smooth and the couple times I've used them has been a pleasure... I stopped looking for my other sets and plan to see what else they have in this brand.. This is really a great set of pliers. They are well-made. I can tell because they are just a tiny bit heavy. I’ve already use them for multiple things and I just got them in. I definitely recommend these! I have to say I also love the colors! They did not come with the case though

Oh, so awesome! The wrapped handles are great. The other wrenches I have were all part of those "pink" tool kits for girls. Those you can only use a couple of times and then they are all chipped up and just plain awful. But these, these actually get the job done and stay intact while doing it. They are hefty compared to "girl" tool kits. (Imagine an eyeroll every time I think about that) I am really appreciating these and the fact that they work. ... show more
