Very effective and will extend the use of your sanding supplies.
Absolutely does what it's supposed to do. I don't use a belt or disk sander for my projects at this time, but I still hoped this would work on my multi-tool and smaller handheld detail wedge. Easily cleaned off the most stubborn residues that refused to be vacuumed off. I did a quick test so I could take photos for this review, so this was just me rubbing the "eraser" block on the sanding pad (this was a 120 grit) for about 1 minute or less, minimal effort. second pic is after removing all the schmutz (almost new). This brick is also very big and will last a while so it's definitely a good value and works for multiple types of sanding situations. It's basically the same as the smaller one I had for removing rubber cement gunk off my scissors, and similar to the types of erasers I used doing fine art stuff over the years to remove pencil guides etc.

Shocked how well it worked
I hated throwing away sandpaper that seemed that it still had plenty of life in it but was junked up. I was shocked at how simple this was to use and how well it worked. I was able to continue using sandpaper that I previously would have switched out and thrown away. It is quick and easy and I am sure it will save money in the long run

This really works
Exceeded my expectations. Seemed like a small risk, cost-wise to try. It thoroughly and quickly cleaned my sanding belts used in a painted wood porch refinishing project where I took off all paint and primer to the bare wood. The paint gets between the sanding grains on the belt surface and the process of friction warms the paint so it gums up the surface and takes away from the abrasiveness/“bite” of the belt. So things slow down OR you prematurely replace the sanding belt which costs mostly money, but also time. The only awkward thing, which I got used to in part because this cleans SO FAST, is holding and stabilizing a heavy duty belt sander upside down with one hand while running(!), and with the other hand cleaning the moving belt by moving this bar like a lip balm for lack of a better phrase. It’s a bit of a dance but it’s so easy and FAST that I’m not reluctant to use this. When I use my belt sander this is coming with me. No one told me about this, but I will tell anyone who will listen.
