These fit our 2001 RAM. Installation was very quick and easy. The only issue is that one of the cables is slightly longer than the other one. 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 extended cab truck. Easy to replace. Originals finally rusted through. Didn't check length, but driver side strap appears long as the passenger side strap is currently doing all the work.

These fit correctly and seem to be sturdy enough. They'll probably outlast the truck, so they were a good purchase.

They were litterly a plug and play install! The cables were thinner than the OEM cables, but I think they will work just fine. We will see in time!

    • True to pictures, but slightly longer than factory cable
I only gave it 4 stars because these are maybe 1/4” (.25”) longer than factory cables that have 24 years of stretch on them. Otherwise, the cables look like what is pictured, appear to be very well made, and fit perfectly! I had ordered what I thought was an OEM pair of cables that were double the price of these. When I received my order, it was a single cable and did not have the hook on the eye of the smaller eyelet. So even though these ones are slightly longer than factory, they are precisely what is pictured and a much fairer price for a “pair” of cables ... show more

They are a bit longer then original so tailgate hangs a bit more down then getting that “90” degree angle when opening..
