These are a great value for money for anyone who already owns an Instant Pot pressure cooker. It comes with two stainless steel mesh baskets that can stack on each other pretty well which means you can steam two different types of vegetables or grains or anything at a time without comingling them. These can also work as a strainer too due to their closed mesh structure. These baskets are designed to fit 6 QT and 8QT Instant Pot models only and do not fit any other models especially the smaller 3 QT ones...I tried and the lid doesn't close as the handle sticks up. We primarily use these baskets to steam several vegetables such as carrots, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus etc...we pour about a cup of water in the pot and select the steam function on the Instant pot high pressure for 1-3 mins depending on the quantity and they come out super soft. We then dump out the water from the Instant Pot container; switch it to Sauté mode....add a TBSP of butter, 1 TSP of oil, add about 1 or 2 finely chopped garlic cloves with a pinch of salt and then saute the veggies for about 5 mins and they taste amazing...super healthy too!!! ... show more

Quality baskets for steaming in my IP Lux Insta Pot! They fit perfectly!! I am so impressed at how thick the mesh is and how thick the wide rims are on the basket. Both the baskets have a handle and will also stand on their own with the mesh sitting about 1/2 inch from counter surface!

    • Fits my 6 quart Instant Pot perfectly.
Some say this product didn't fit their Instant Pot. I have no such issues. Some also say it's hard to clean. I don't find that it's hard to clean. It's like a seive, a screen, mesh. If you've cleaned such products before you know what to expect. I like that I can lift my food out in the basket when it's done rather than taking it out with a spoon piece by piece. I might make use of the fact that I can create two layers with the basket-in-basket option. These are pricey for what they are, but I wanted genuine Instant Pot accessories so that I'm not guessing whether they're meant to fit in my instant pot or not. I just got these a couple days ago (I got the set of two) and have already made use of them several times. I also like that the smaller one makes a good strainer for cleaning smaller items under running water, like berries, cherry tomatoes, small mushrroms -- good size for the smaller items. What else can I say -- they're a bit pricey but handy and do what the description says they do. ... show more

As an IP newbie, it was suggested that I only use IP official accessories so I wouldn't void the warranty on my new pot. I was eager to get this 2piece steamer basket because I love a good crab and shrimp boil. The set itself is amazing and nestles perfectly into my 6qt IP. Cleanup is simple if you remember to have a sinkful of HOT soapy water on standby for a quick soak. I recommend not putting this into the dishwasher. That being said, my unit was an obvious return! I opened the outer packaging and saw the IP branded box inside with the little taped seal across the opening. However, the seal was refastened onto the box and folded half onto itself. I hoped for a moment that maybe mine was a QC check and dismissed it. Sadly, there was no QC note inside. What I did find was fuzz and two blonde hairs in the small basket along with a thumbprint on the rim; all visible through the plastic bag. Being that I live in podunk nowhere, I decided against the 40 minute drive to a Kohls or UPS for a return and to give it a good antibacterial wash and it's as good as new. Seriously though, if Amazon continues to sell repackaged items, they should indicate the item was a RETURN!!! Nothing in the description said it was "renewed" or a product return. If it happens again without notice, I'll have to reconsider keeping my membership. ... show more

I thought I was just buying more kitchen equipment just because I can be totally obsessive about my kitchen utensils. But this stainer just keeps getting better. I use it to make bone and/or vegetable broth and pulling the spent materials out has turned from painful to a snap. Hydrating beans and straining them out of the liquid is easy peasy. Steaming vegetables is trivial. It fits one of my pots as well and works nicely as a pasta strainer. For these things alone, it's made what used to be a chore into a trivial job. ... show more
