  • What a very rich, comprehensive content filled and sophisticated MMO! Beware light weights!!
Edition: Base Game
Those that have rated this game poorly, must be the younger generation--immediate gratification needed--and a game that leads you to every game solution. Guess you can tell I don't fall into that model of a gamer. I played Wizardry in the early 80's when imagination was the high that you need to play such games. Yes, the graphics of this game are old. But, look at WOW--it's graphics suck in comparison to most games these days. Yet, WOW is the most played MMO game today. I am not comparing DDO to WOW, but making a point. Those who don't have patience, time and investment (not necessarily monetary) shouldn't play this game. For those that don't believe WOW isn't play to win, it is if a player uses third party web sites to purchase gear, level, and gold... ... show more

  • In the tradition of good D&D
Edition: Base Game
I played a demo of the game and loved it. Now I wait for the price to come down, so I can afford it.

  • Feels like D&D
Edition: Base Game
I really enjoy playing this version of D&D the MMO really captures the feel of the game complete with dice rolls. That said, the server issues suck, you'll often be unceremoniously disconnected and you wont even know it's happening until you cant move and everything around you is still moving including the mobs and then maybe 30 secs. later you'll get the disconnected symbol which will only make you frustrated because it looks like it might reconnect but it never does. It's unfortunate and probably why more people dont play, the game itself is well done thought the graphics are a bit dated. That really just means it should run better on your machine. If you havent played or gotten overly accustomed to WoW or FF14 or ESO then the graphics are of little consequence. I especially like the Dungeon Master/Narrator it adds alot to the ambience and I wish more games were as creative. All in all a great game hindered by connectivity issues that have as of yet to be addressed (according to forums this has been going on as far back as 2009 and beyond). ... show more

Edition: Base Game
I'm sorry that I don't actually have a review for this product. However, after my account was compromised, it was utilized to purchase this item. (Everything good. It's been refunded.) Hopefully this item can auto-flag if a new login immediately buys this item, that it's a fraudulent purchase. Cheers! Sad that some people compromise accounts for DND Keys. ... show more

  • Fix this game
Edition: Base Game
Takes an awful long time to download, even longer to install, and once installed when I clicked on the game in order to play it, it wanted to install the game. So I am unable to write a review on the game because I am unable to play it.
