We have a room off our kitchen that we use as sort of a walk in pantry. I'm a "leave the often used appliances out on the counter" person, my wife, not so much. This was my idea for a compromise. I have a power strip zip tied just below the wood shelf so the air fryer, toaster and can opener are always plugged in and ready to use. Size and height was perfect for the room with other shelving units. The weight each shelf can hold is great. Couldn't be easier to put together. The quality convinced me to by a second one to use in the basement to use as a laundry station. For the price is far more heavy duty than I was expecting. They are very well packed and both units survived shipping. The butcher block wood shelf is unfinished but is already very smooth, so I'll only have to do a finish sanding before staining and applying a clear coat. ... show more

I bought this as a microwave oven cabinet. It's very sturdy, easy to assemble and provides for some storage of other accessories. I interested more in functionality and sturdiness when I bought this unit. It gets a 5 star review for being sturdy and easy to assemble. It tends to have an industrial look but that's ok for me. No instructions for assembly but that's probably because with a healthy dose of common sense you really don't need instructions. Simple, sturdy and easy to assemble. Arrived today and am very happy with it. I shop Amazon frequently, and this is one of the best purchases I've made. I got it to free up some counter and cupboard space in my tiny apartment kitchen, and it has made my kitchen much more functional. I wish I had purchased this baker's rack years ago. It was very easy to put together, but I think that's because I'm familiar with this type of item. The instructions are drawings only; no text, and that makes them much harder to follow. The poor instructions are why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. In addition to consisting of drawings only, there is one part, Part K (small round black disc), that is shown in the list of parts but never explained. There are 10 of these little "K discs." But the instructions do not tell you where to put these little discs; there is no mention of Part K at all in the instructions. When I was taking the parts out of the box, I noticed that one of these little black discs was stuck between two of the wires in one of the shelves. It fit snugly but was also easy to pop out. I finally figured out that these little discs are for leveling the butcher block board. The board was slightly wobbly when I set it on the wire shelf. I put one disc under one of the corners, and that did the trick; no more wobble. This should have been clearly explained in the instructions. That's also why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The bags that the various parts come in were labeled with letters, but the parts themselves were not. With many assemble-it-yourself items, the individual parts are labeled with a sticker that can be tough to remove. Labeling just the bags avoids that. To avoid confusing the various tube pieces, I just kept them in their labeled bags until it was time to attach them. The other parts were very easy to tell apart just by looking at them. The instructions say to attach the baker's rack to a wall, but I did not do that. It seems sturdy enough for my needs to leave it free-standing against a wall.
