    • Nice cheap baker's rack for extra storage

First things first, remember that you get what you pay for with furniture. Buy it for savings and functionality, not for the lifetime purchase. That being said? I really like this so far! We needed extra storage for things that were in-use but stuck on bottom shelves or behind other items. I picked this one specifically for the low cost, aesthetic, and smaller shelves up top that would let me lean over it a bit and use this as an extra counter in a pinch. The closed shelves at the bottom are an added bonus, because it's somewhere sizeable that the cats can't get to. For assembly, it was nice to have two people. Like I definitely *could* do it alone if I had to, but I say that as someone who's had to use the powers of spite and caffeine to build most of her furniture alone for years. Don't do it alone if you don't have to. Now that it's together, it's pretty sturdy. Again, you're getting what you pay for, so all the wood is that engineered wood/MDF/etc sort of material. Within that category of furniture though, this feels nice. The black coating didn't chip during shipping or assembly. The magnets holding the doors on are strong enough to keep them closed when the cats sniff around, but weak enough that I don't struggle to open them. The metal supports are all finished off well and combine with the shelves to create a good, sturdy surface that isn't wobbling around. There's also adjustable feet on all 6 contact points with the floor, which I put to good use and am happy with. The LED strip can potentially be fiddly; take your time figuring out where you want it, and peel the backing off a little at a time. We secured the cord of ours with some black zip ties, just for added neatness. Overall, I'd recommend this to a friend if they were also on a budget and needed a baker's rack. ... show more

This bakers rack looks just like the photos and is very sturdy once built. Very spacious and holds everything I wanted perfectly. The only reason I took off one star was because some of the screws were pre stripped but we were able to make them work. Also, the instructions could’ve been a little bit more detailed. I couldn’t be happier with this baker’s rack. It’s the perfect size for the space I had in mind and works beautifully as a coffee bar. The built-in power outlets and USB ports are a game changer—no more reaching behind appliances or running cords across the kitchen! Not only is it functional, but it’s also very attractive and added a ton of storage. My counters feel so much less cluttered now. Assembly was a little complicated, so give yourself some time and definitely follow the directions closely.
