I am so thankful that I found this pillow. It felt a little too firm AT FIRST, but after a minute, the foam formed around my head to become super-comfortable, without allowing my head to sink into the foam far enough to block my breathing. I can BREATHE so much better all night with this pillow because my face CANNOT sink into a smothering position. The perfect degree of firmness is the most important characteristic of this pillow. When I sleep on my side, it even allows my ear to sink into the foam separately from the rest of my head without ever becoming sore. SIX STARS!

I have tried a bunch of different pillows (solid mem foam, down, poly filled, butterfly, cluster foam) and they all sorta suck for me a side sleeper. This pillow is a solid memory foam pillow but it's hard, it will form to your head like memory foam but it's slow to react and maintains a lot of loft. It's not perfect but it's the only pillow I have used that maintains proper neck angle for me (with wide shoulders) as a side sleeper. I can get past the stiffness for the most part but I have a habit of having my down arm extended under the pillow, and this pillow isn't very compatible with that sleeping position. So a bit of retraining with both arms forward not under the pillow is helpful. As goofy and wrong this this thing seems at first try, I had a surprisingly good sleep, the pillow maintains it's loft in any position and even though the foam is harder it has a low density that doesn't trap as much heat as my previous pillows. I have been using it for about a week and it's been a big improvement for me.

There's nothing wrong with the quality of the pillows....they're just hard as a rock! OK for just resting but way too hard to actually sleep on. Would be good if you needed to prop up an arm or a leg and are good for side sleepers wanting something between their knees. Just be warned: they're hard!!!

As a back sleeper, I really struggle to find pillows that are actually firm enough but this one checks off all my boxes. It's nice and firm right out of the package, yet as I fall asleep, it gently molds to the shape of my head for perfect support. No more waking up with a stiff neck. Just deep, restful, peaceful sleep. If you're a back sleeper who needs firm support with a little give, don't hesitate on this one.

Within the past 3+ years I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a memory foam pillow that doesn't leave my neck sore. I'm not kidding, for almost 3 years I've barely been able to turn my head all the way to the left because of such bad neck pain. I purchased these pillows as a complete gamble since they were 2 for less than twenty bucks. Once the pillows arrived, I waited the recommended 48 hours before use; like others said, the pillow was almost stiff as a board...so I was skeptical. As others have also stated, it takes a bit to get used to but within about 5-10 minutes once it starts to conform to your head...MAGIC! I'm mainly a side sleeper, it's perfect for sleeping on your side. While laying on my back and looking at my phone, it's not so comfortable...but that also keeps the phone distractions to a minimum. I've used it for close to a month now and I haven't slept this good in DECADES! I wake up rested, I don't wake a million times a night; best of all, I CAN TURN MY NECK AGAIN! I gave the 2nd pillow to one of my bosses who uses a CPAP machine and has had similar sleep issues from what she's said...she LOVES this pillow as well. Considering I purchased them for less than $10 each...they are an AMAZING bargain! I'm SO glad I took the gamble on these pillows!

There were a couple nights I could sleep on this ultra firm pillow, however my last night. I woke up with a fair amount of neck pain as the pillow hardly gives. I cannot use this anymore as it is way too hard. The pillow barely gives, and I agree with one of the reviewer’s comments, it would be better using as a bolster. I think I missed the return window for the two pillows I bought.
