Description

During the cold weather months, windows become a prime spot for energy loss. Duck Max Strength Brand Rolled Window Insulation Kits feature a puncture- resistant rolled film that is two times thicker than standard window kits to create an added barrier between the outdoor air and your home's inside. These heavy-duty window insulation kits help to block drafts that lead to high heating costs and are great for high-traffic or pet-friendly households. Our window kit film comes in an easy-to-use roll of shrink film, which means no measuring needed — simply cut the extra film off once applied. Plus, they are made with crystal clear shrink film for good visibility and are easy to install and remove. For best results, use on clean and dry surfaces, such as painted or finished wood, aluminum or vinyl.

  • Duck MAX is the best!
Size Name: Standard Window - 10 Pack
For years I’ve purchased the King Frost kits. But Duck MAX is now the only one I’ll buy. The plastic is thicker and the double-sided tape sticks better as well (once on the frame, the paper strip is easy to remove). Since the plastic is on a roll, I found it much easier to unroll and cut when I inserted onto a long wooden spoon. I have a long horizontal kitchen window, so this roll works perfectly. No more ordering specific sizes. Once it’s attached to the top of the window frame (tape), that’s when you unfold and press the plastic to the sides of the window frame! Then all that’s needed os to cut any access off. Easy, peasy lemon squeezy! ... show more

  • Best Window Insulation Product On The Market
Size Name: Standard Window - 5 Pack
We've tried a few brands, Duck was by far the easiest to install and longest lasting. This formulation (max strength) works even better. Worth the $. Not only improves warmth in the winter, but also helps keep you cooler in the summer heat. Both of which also reduce heating/cooling costs. Pair with thermal insulated blackout curtains for maximum benefit. We use both year round aside from a couple windows we wish to open at will. Wish I had discovered this wayyyy sooner. ... show more

  • Works on drafts
Size Name: Standard Window - 5 Pack
Easiest way for me was to thumb tack the plastic up to cut it. Then roll it up bottom to top and set aside. Put all the tape up (sides , top and bottom) then roll plastic down from top to bottom holding rolled up plastic at the sides. I boogered the first window up following the directions because the tape is a sticky mess and paper thin. It wants to grab anything that comes near it including your fingers.. but that's what it's supposed to do. ... show more

  • 7° warmer after putting up insulation
Size Name: Standard Window - 5 Pack
I have multiple rooms with window AC units. Very hard to find covers to fit some of them. I tried ordering two different sets and was only able to find a cover that fit one. I noticed that that really helped keep the heat in the room. We do have central heat and air. One of the rooms, where I couldn't find a cover for the AC unit, was a lot colder than the main part of the house. After I put the insulation on both windows in the room an hour later I checked the temperature at the window AC unit I had a thermometer and I had another thermometer inside the room. There was a 7° difference. I checked and the temperature in that room was around the same as the main part of the house. I highly recommend as a alternative to removing your window AC unit or finding a cover for it. Not too difficult to install. I did a little different than the directions. I put all the tape up first and cut the plastic before attaching it at the top and then I just pulled it out and slowly moved it down to the bottom of the window. Even if it's not exactly even as long as it's sealed on all sides once you use the blow dryer it should snug up a bit and be fine. I'm sure it's going to help the electric bill and it will be keeping the room warmer, which is great! Please excuse the dirty blinds and window area in general. We are a dog rescue and have 21 dogs in house. I get a little bit behind and cleaning and just wanted to hurry up and put the insulation up to keep them warm as it's going to be getting really cold over the next few days. ... show more

  • Works great
Size Name: Standard Window - 10 Pack
I live in New England and have older windows and this works great to seal in the heat. You can actually see the window blow up the plastic when the wind blows .

  • Amazing
Size Name: Standard Window - 5 Pack
Who would have thought a piece of thin plastic could make such a difference?! I’m honestly shocked by how much warmer the rooms feel with the windows done. Installation was super easy and I made sure to wipe down the areas where the adhesive tape would go and it stuck great. I highly recommend!!

  • Substatial material
Size Name: Standard Window - 10 Pack
Love the thicker film. Better insulating, more durable, crystal clear and still pulls tight when heated. Included tape is also of good quality.

  • It's decent
Size Name: Standard Window - 5 Pack
I purchased this window film and was also gifted a box of film of another (major) brand. We have 9 windows in our family room, each window is 26x64. Where the windows are next to each other, with a 5" trim in between, we were able to use the entire 62" width and just unroll the height of the window, only having to cut at the bottom. Couple tips: make sure the tape is at least an inch, on the trim, from the window itself. If there isn't that inch leeway, as it shrinks it will pull the tape off. We had to use duct tape on the first window because it was pulling in. On that same note, make sure you press the tape FIRMLY onto the frame/trim BEFORE peeling the liner off of it. Once that liner is removed you can't adjust the tape. Use a high power blow dryer, 1800+ watts, to get the wrinkles out. I worked in sections: I started at the top left corner, blowdried at a downward angle for roughly 15" or so, went back to the top, moved to the right a couple inches, blowdried down 15" or so, and repeated across the window, then moved down and did the same thing in the next section until I worked my way to the bottom. When you get to the bottom, just check the window for any wrinkles and go over them again. You definitely need 2 people to do this, and make sure you don't get the film anywhere near the exposed tape until you know it's somewhat even on all sides. After wasting a little bit of film due to user error, we used this entire box for 6 windows, and used the other brand for the remaining three windows. The other brand that I was given came folded (as opposed to on a roll) and it was considerably easier to deal with. It also de-wrinkled faster and smoother. ALSO: we did one window then waited a couple weeks before continuing the project.in the meantime our cat loves the sound the film makes when you tape on it lol, and he put a couple holes in it with his claws. We just put duct tape over the holes, blowdried it again, and it's still smooth. ... show more
