My old wine 'fridge only held 6 bottles, and it was getting old. I noticed it was starting to make a lot of noise. Recently I visited a wonderful winery in NY State and ordered a case to be delivered to my home in Florida. I orderd this unit in anticipation of my wine delivery. This holds 12 bottles. I like the digital readout showing the temperature. So far I am just using the same tempterature for both top and bottom as the wine currently in it is all the same. The unit is very quiet. There is no room for it in my small kitchen, so it is sitting on a tile floor in our den, which tends to be the coolest room in the house. Recently drank the first bottle from this recent shipment of wine. When I pulled it out of the 'fridge it was perfectly chilled, ready to open and serve to our guests. (with my old one I had to put the bottle in my regular refridgerator for a while before opening it) The bottles slide in and out easily too. [Update: Downgrading to two stars after I discovered the unit does not remember your temperature settings in the event of even the briefest power outage or power disruption. Upon power restoration it defaults both zones to 54 F.] Unacceptable. I was in need of a countertop dual zone wine fridge and this Maisee 12 bottle fridge was the only one I could find so I tried it out. PROS: Well packaged. Elegant look. Easy controls. Fits under the cabinet; the specs in the description are accurate. Relatively quiet like a small fan. Lightweight. Good value for the money. CONS: I couldn’t get below 54 degrees on the bottom zone where my whites were. So I switched the whites to the top to achieve the desired 46 degrees. Took over 24 hours to reach desired temperature even in a cool air-conditioned home. The switch for the interior light is on the inside, requiring one to open the door and let the cool air out to turn it on. Can be a slightly tight fit with some shapes of bottles. ... show more

I purchased this wine cooler because the size was perfect for my needs. I was a bit skeptical that there were no reviews, but Amazon's return policy put me at ease. I am so happy with my decision! The dual-zone feature is great, reds and whites are kept at optimum temperatures. I was concerned it would be noisy as I read so many others were. My concerns were unwarranted, it’s so quiet- you barely know it’s there! The lighting and overall appearance is nice. Purchased this fridge to contain a modest collection of wine. The fridge looked great was easy to set up and got to the correct temperatures within an hour. However, there is a distinct fan noise that sounds like a loud computer fan that cycles on and off quite frequently. Our house is pretty quiet so it was very distracting. As my husband commented, "I feel like I'm in the middle of a computer server farm." We tried getting used and trying different locations but no matter where we put it, you could still hear the fan cycling on and off. Still not wanting to give up as I did like the looks and the function I was prepared to contact the manufacturer and see if we had a manufacturing defect. As luck would have it, our first order had been lost by the shipper so we ordered a second fridge. The lost fridge actually arrived the next day so we tried it out just to see if we had one that was not working right. Nope, the second we plugged it in, you could hear that fan. If we had a basement to store it then I would have kept the fridge. It did work well great and it was nice to have our wine at the appropriate temps. ... show more

It took all of 10 days and this unit started making lots of noise. Unplugged it overnight and then it ran OK for several days. Then lots of noise again. Overall, this unit is a big PITA. Will return after the Holiday package rush. I only gave this one star because I could not give it zero.

It is really amazing. It’s totally quiet. I keep my whites on 46 and my reds on 62. It has an interior light on both sides that will automatically shut off. My picture shows I placed it on a butcher block that fits perfectly. It really is a beautiful cooler.

We have it over the countertop, under a wall cabinet and it fits perfect. It’s very silent, and we can control temperature independently in each sides. My husband loves it!

    • Easy to see wine with door closed

Set lower rack temp at 46, and it had a hard time getting below 50. Changed setting to 46 on upper rack and it worked much better. Need to make sure to lock after temps are set.
