I had an old version of this so when I “upgrade” with the remote thingy (my car doesn’t have that feature, sue me) I thought I was going to LOVE everything abt it… it works pretty much the same but the remote thingy hardly ever works… I end up just touching the screen or using my phone (hands-free duuuh) which defeats the purpose of a remote… also whenever I first connect it pulls up an app called Dual iPlug then switches to radio… so yeeeaaahhh ... show more

Overall it was very easy to install, performs superbly. The only qualm I have is with the included remote, it performs very poorly, you have to point the remote directly in a straight line at the head unit, it won't work from the side, or if the remote is pointing above or below the unit. and during normal use you have to push the button down so hard, it feels like you are trying to push the button thru to the other side of the remote. could be that the included batteries are weak, will replace them and update this review appropriately. ... show more

I really like this system. For the price and features offered it can't be beat. I installed this unit in my 2000 F-150 about 3 weeks ago and I'm very impressed. I'm still getting used to the features and switching between modes but it's just a matter of practice. The installation was relatively easy but I would strongly recommend that you buy a vehicle specific wiring adapter. I hard wired mine and it was a little tricky getting the wiring matched up with the vehicle harness. An adapter would have made it a breeze. I only had to make one small modification to the console that involved removing a small strip of trim plastic from the bottom of the mounting area. The sound quality is exceptional for a unit of this price. The only improvements I would suggest to the manufacturer would be to allow for screen mirroring for my android phone. (for navigation) and that the there be a "clock" function that is a little easier to read. The UI with this unit has a relatively small clock. (see photos). These functions might be built in already but like I said, I'm still getting used to it. I recommend this system. ... show more

You better have an Auxiliary cable handy because the radio has the tendency to drop sync with you phone.

Granted mine was defective, it was also used so take that as you will. It was also an incredible surprise for an audiophile like myself. Sound was clear, bass strong, great EQ and very nice screen for the money. (Also easy to bypass DVD lockout.) Cant wait for my refund to process so i can buy another. New this time. ... show more

Unit is nice for the money but FM reception is weak. The unit is dim and when the headlights are turned on during the day the display is unusable, will have to put a dimmer bypass switch for day + headlamp usage. You have to push hard to get your selections to work on the screen (not sensitive enough) ... show more

For some reason I expected to be able to mirror to my phone, but i'm adjusting and finding alternatives otherwise after only two days, satisfied!

Touch screen hardly works. It’s hard to make adjustments to the eq especially.
