The gauge is very helpful as too much air pressure pushed through your water lines can actually break seals and even sometimes the lines themselves. With the gauge and adjustment knob, you can regulate the level of pressure, keeping it high enough to clear the lines but low enough to avoid damaging them.

The connections fit tight and did not leak. The only flaw I found is the lack of a regulator. All this has is a valve allowing for over pressurizing if no water valves are open. Very easy to use and did both of my campers with ease.
