    • Works well in a small package - with one fatal flaw.
This is my first ever KVM- and I didn't really know what to expect. I needed it to connect my Thincentre thin client desktop for work and also my home desktop for play to the same set of monitors. All connected fine, and I appreciate the shared keyboard / mouse inputs so they can both be used with two different machines. The switching is relatively quick, and I LOVE the remote control feature. Overall this got me back use of my personal desktop machine so I am thrilled with that. The fatal flaw however - is as others have mentioned, the windows all go over to the primary monitor upon switching and are minimized. This is GARBAGE and totally removes the ability to fast switch and remain efficient in workflow. Because of this, I cannot give it 5 stars, and really it deserves 3 stars because you had better be ready to spend a decent amount of time on one machine before switching unless you want to re-arrange all your windows again. For me, this takes the "switch" almost right out of the equation. Pretty disappointed in this one weakness because it's a pretty big one depending on your use case and work flow. ... show more

Works Great & Excellent Customer Service! I use this KVM to switch from my work computer to my home computer. My favorite thing about this product is the desktop controller, after you press the button it lights up #1 or #2 depending on which computer you are using. I placed the desktop controller next to my keyboard for easy/quick access. This allowed me to place the box/cables behind my monitor. You also have the option to switch between computers by pressing the button on the KVM switch itself. I did run into an issue. It was still under warranty, so I emailed customer service. They got back to me quickly and helped me resolve the issue. Buy it! It just works! ... show more

    • Switch works but took a few tries to get operational
Dell work laptop and a Mac mini, bought the switch to flip between work and home computer with 2 monitors. Switch works great between the 2 computers but only one monitor works when switching. Have troubleshooted every which way. Waiting for tech/support to get back to me, would love to give it 5 stars Manual switch extension doesn’t work either, switches one time then doesn’t allow you to switch any more after that. Update: Tech was great to get back to me and let me know 6 HDMIs are needed to operate the switch. 2 USB C to HDMI adapters later and I was up and running and functional. Switch extender still doesn’t work but the manual switch works great. Would be nice to know all of this or have recommended purchases before buying the switch. ... show more

    • Works but only when I adapted a work around for window screen app placement, slow too
I have had many KVMs before but this one acts very different. First, it is very slow at switching between the two PCs I am using it with, probably 4 seconds. Other KVMs I own switch in about 1 second. The most aggravating characteristic is that all the apps that are open crowd into screen number 1 when you switch between PCs. In other words, the apps don't stay in their places when switching. I found that pressing WIN + D to minimize all apps prior to switching and again pressing WIN + D to return them to the screen when I switch back works. A pain but I will get used to it. Overall quality of the unit is great and it functions well other than what I noted in the beginning of this review. ... show more

So far I’m very happy with this product and will probably be ordering another one for my gaming set-up. I have a work Dell Attitude Laptop and a personal Mac Mini with two monitors. This lets me share a keyboard, mice, and external webcam. It does what it's supposed to do and is very easy to set up. It's very compact and I like the solid feel of the metal casing. It has its limitations, like only supporting USB 2.0. But, if it suits your needs, it's a good value.

    • Perfect, easy, and quick to share peripherals for 2 different computers.
Wired remote button easily mounts to keyboard so wires to switch can be hidden. Have been using it reliably for over two months connected to shared keyboard, mouse, Webcam and 1 monitor. My 2nd monitor is old with only VGA input, and I am not able to share it using VGA to HDMI adapter and then connecting to switch, but a 2nd monitor with HDMI might work.
