This lighter does not offer a choice of flame. As per included manufacturers instructions, it is "recommended" that you burn off the fuel, before you engage the Arc. If you don't, both the ARC and torch ignite at the same time. The same manufacturers' return instructions state to "Make Full Gas" in packaging. So, two lighters, filled with butane and arc charge, are boxed and improperly labeled, waiting for UPS to get them out of my house. ... show more

Really works as intended. 2 minor issues, the lighter is very slick, since you have to hold the spring loaded button down for the flame it’s sometimes hard to get a firm grip. The other issue is it doesn’t hold much butane, you only get about 60 seconds of burn time, however you still have the arc lighter! ... show more

I was looking for a USB lighter so I bought the silver lighter because I did not want to bother with butane. The picture shows a high flame but the description did not say that butane is need for that flame. With the USB, only the arc ignition is usable. If you are looking for the flame, you will have to use butane. Disappointed that I will still have to use butane to get the flame I thought would be usable with the USB connection. ... show more
