I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say it flexes with a full size camera, my gigantic DSLR sits firmly on it while holding the handle. No, it's not a "gimbal" and was never advertised as such. It makes the low shots easier and gives more positive control of camera movement. Turn your camera/ phone sideways and you have a cage. It's a great piece of kit if you know what it's for and how to use it. I only wish it had another 1/4-20 thumb screw on the base. Google it's usage before you buy. ... show more

If you're going to use this with a camera- it's pretty decent. But the cellphone mount broke after a couple uses. I am still not sure what happened to it, but the spring shot out of it and now it won't hold the phone. Exactly 31 days after we got it so I can't return or replace it) I do struggle with the hotshoe too-- it was really hard to get things in there & not twist it all over the place. BUT I really like the handle & quality so I might just buy a different cell phone mount rather than look for a whole new rig. (I don't know if this matters at all-- but full disclosure-- the one I purchased was delivered to the wrong house by Amazon & while I was waiting to be refunded- my mother purchased another one for me on her account. This thing is super neat! Can’t wait to use it. Only thing I would add to it would be instructions. I flipped through the product pictures and figured out how each piece works so it’s not that hard to figure out but, it would have been much easier with some instructions.

bought this to build a video rig and it might be over loaded but not very much. It holds it all but the top sags a bit underload but it works hopefully it will last a bit of time.
