    • Do not buy. This is the worst tarp I have ever bought.
The media could not be loaded. As another reviewer mentioned, this tarp does not last. I used it about 6 times in 2014, then stored it in my truck. I took it out in May of 2015 and it was brittle and ripped immediately and several times. I have many "cheap" tarps that have WAY outlasted this one. Decent silver tarp that will out last the blue ones and stand up to sun and wind better. But they still are a cheap tarp and will tear or rip if not used right. They are just a grade better and last longer is all I'm saying so worth that in value to me.

Greetings Reviewer, This tarp offers reinforced elites and a mil ply of 10 which is pretty durable by my account. Even so, most tarp depending on the amount of winter rain, wind and sun only last about a year.     • Perfect tarp for camping
I purchased two of these 12'x16' tarps to take camping, one for under the tent and another as a rain cover to go over it. The camp site ended up being clean enough that we didn't need to put one underneath, so we used that to cover the ground in front of our tent and that worked very well, helping to get most of the dirt off of our shoes before entering our tent, keeping it cleaner. Using some rope and bungee cords, we suspended the other tarp from some trees over the tent, silver side up. This really helped keep the tent much cooler while we had lots of sun and once it did rain on the last day, it kept us nice and dry (our tent is not waterproof and we've been miserable in the rain before, so this was a nice change!). The huge size of this tarp and the solid construction make it very useful and it will be a standard part of our camping gear from here on out. I may even buy another one so that we can use it to cover other areas of our camp site as well, like the picnic tables where our food was. ... show more

    • Thin, Doesn't Stop Sunlight & Heat
I wanted to use this for shade protection from the sun. This tarp has lots of big holes between the 'weave', which sun shines through. On the opposite side from the sun, i got cooked, with the sides open. I guess you get what you pay for.

when the storm comes, don't be one of those crazies and mega marts dashing around like a madman. get some items up front. chances are you will use them somehow anyways
