  • Buttery
Size: ABS Keycap Color: Black-OEM-ABS
Buttery smooth keyboard with a good price and availability from Amazon. Feels hefty in hand and had lots of color options with the programing. You can adjust many way your keys function on this keyboard and it being quieter than a mechanical is nice. It's very satisfying to use and love my color options but I do occasionally hit a button to reset my color firmware and I have to open up the program to fully redo it. It's held back by it's firmware for sure but the quality of the product makes up for it as well as it's very budget friendly price ... show more

  • Great value for money
Size: No Keycap Color: Black
Picked up the black version with no keycaps. I did the following: - Added some craft store EVA foam to fill out the remaining cavity in the bottom - Installed a set of PBTfans doubleshot keycaps I had on another board I love it. Yes, the software is not the greatest but it is accessible on the web similar to the Wooting (no need to run local software like Steelseries engine). Latency seems good, and the rapid trigger functionality is definitely noticeable in Valorant. Speaking of, I recently returned the Steelseries Apex Pro TKL. While the rapid trigger seemed to work well there, it had a bit lighter stock springs and the TKL form factor is just too long for me currently. This a75 75%-ish form factor is much better for my limited desk space. Beyond the gaming features, I personally think it is a great sounding board, and pleasant to type on. I felt like buying from this brand was going to be a bit risky, but I have joined the DrunkDeer discord and found a great community of folks and it seems like a product that has come from a group of enthusiastic people. I look forward to the continued improvement to the firmware. I would recommend it for someone interested in trying a keyboard with Rapid trigger type functionality but don' want to drop more money on the Steelseries or wait for a few months on the next Wooting batch ... show more

  • Best keyboard ever for gaming and work.
Size: ABS Keycap Color: White-OEM-ABS
I’ve had this keyboard for about a month now and so far it’s a very nice keyboard. The Keycaps are ABS but are actually some of the nicest abs caps I’ve had but of course I had to switch them out for my own PBT. I now use this as my main keyboard for work because the typing experience is just so smooth and satisfying. For gaming it’s like a whole different experience compared to mechanical because of the ability to set different actuation points, it’s almost like cheating lol! It’s so fast and works very well for 1st person shooters. I haven’t tried the Wooting 60he which is what this is compared to but other reviewers have said it’s similar. I went with this because of two things, first I love the 75% layout (can’t go without my volume wheel) and second it’s available with fast shipping. I would highly recommend this for gaming and definitely over the Wooting if you don’t like the 60% layout. For work it depends on your preference because the switches are smooth and easy to press. I think the springs are 55g but don’t quote me on that. If you don’t like linear switch feel with no tactile feedback then I would wait until they come out with tactile switches. I heard they’re are coming out with different switches in the future for the hot swap feature which I can’t wait for. Picture are pudding keycaps and rubber WASD keys. ... show more

  • GET THIS! Great alternative to Wooting!
Size: PBT Keycap Color: Black-OEM-PBT-B-Orange-Shine-Through
TLDR: A definitely "up there" entry to hall effect keyboards, really only held back by a few missing features in the software. Pros: -GREAT out of the box! -Rapid Trigger functionality -Really good feeling (and sounding) magnetic, pre-lubed switches -Volume Knob -75% layout (the best variant) -Web based software (no installing an app) -Solid RGB lighting -PBT keycaps -THE PRICE! -2 FN layers -Hotswap switches* Cons: -Software still seems new, a bit clunky, and could generally use more features -Unable to rebind FN keys -Unable to rebind knob functions -Not all magnetic switches will be compatible (stem is offset) Thoughts: While this isn't a new take, I compare all hall effect keyboards to Wooting because the 60HE is my current favorite keyboard. With that said, this is a really, really good alternative! First of all, it's available here on amazon without needing to pre-order months in advance. Second, the price is really good! Third, the 75% layout is the most efficient one having only 1 column of keys to the right of backspace, backslash, enter, etc... It always drives me nuts when a company will opt to do a 75% layout, but put those 4 right side keys into a 2x2 layout or something. At that point, the keyboard is about as wide as a TKL, but without the same amount of TKL keys. I really like these switches. They have a sound and feel that I really like, which are subjective of course, but the box design they went with seems to give them the least stem wobble of the magnetic switches I've used. Or at least put them among the least wobbly. Also, being hotswappable, you can pop the pre-lubed switches out and lube them up yourself if you want. The caveat with the switches is that the magnet is offset from the center. This means that you cannot get the gateron magnetic switches for example, and pop them in this board. You'd have to wait until someone made switches specifically for this offset if you wanted to try other kinds of switches. That said, these switches feel really good! I have no desire to switch them, or even lube them honestly. I still might lube them in the future just to do it, but I don't feel like I need to do it to mute some imperfection in the springs or anything for example. While hall effect keyboards are my absolute favorites, my only real gripe with them is that they tend to have quite an audible springy noise as soon as you make contact with a key. These switches don't have that. The only other thing that keeps this keyboard from being a full five stars, despite me absolutely loving it, is the lack of some features in the software. Again, coming from Wooting, I'm missing things like being able to rebind my FN key to capslock, rebind the click of the volume knob to be mute instead of play/pause, and one particular lighting mode that Wooting has that I haven't seen on another keyboard, but that's not important. In case you're wondering, it's a lighting effect that illuminates the key you're pressing and the surrounding keys as you apply pressure to the key. It's a really nice effect unique to hall effect keyboards. While these things are missing, they're far from a dealbreaker to me since they can always be added in a future update, and their absence leave me feeling like I'm really losing out on functionality or anything. Speaking of the software, I always appreciate web based software, or at least something that saves the setting to the keyboard so I don't need to have another peripheral software running in the background. Conclusion: If you're looking to get a hall effect keyboard, it's really hard to argue against the price of this one imo. You get a really nicely built keyboard with rapid trigger and hotswap for a really good price. I look forward to seeing what Drunkdeer does in the future. I'm so happy to see more and more companies get on board the hall effect train! ... show more

  • The feel and features of this keyboard for the price are unmatched!
Size: No Keycap Color: Black
I am coming from a mechanical keyboard from Logitech and have to say this keyboard is the best thing I have ever felt. For me I program on the side so typing performance has to be just as good as the gaming experience for me and this keyboard has not disappointed in either regard. The custom keyboard-like feel as well as the custom actuation point we can set for each key is something almost no other keyboard offers. I have tried the SteelSeries apex pro and other keyboards but to have this kind of typing experience while having good stabilizers, good sound acoustics, good feel, quality, and features is truly unparalleled. If you care about the actuation point like I have for games while wanting the best experience while you type this keyboard is for you! ... show more
