Every other product containing glycolic acid I’ve tried has caused pretty immediate & extreme sensitization lasting for a few days. I thought I just couldn’t tolerate it as an ingredient until I found this. Although lactic acid always worked better for me, when it comes to DE products, I prefer Framboos over Protini. This does not cause any stinging or dryness, and although I do not recommend testing this out, it shockingly didn’t cause stinging on already-sensitized skin. It’s a nice gel texture and layers well with my other skincare products. I just need to ensure I use it in moderation and on non-retinol nights. I will have to figure out where it fits into my routine when I switch to a Tretinoin + Azelaic Acid formula (I currently use OTC Adapalene). Overall I definitely recommend it, and highly suggest getting it on Amazon vs from Sephora as it’s less than a third of the price here. (IMO it’s worth ~$30, NOT $90). For ingredient-conscious skincare junkies, this one also passes the INCIdecoder.com test — it doesn’t contain any fragrance, irritants, or comedogenic ingredients, and has a lot of “goodie”s. ... show more

I love this item so much! My daughters got it, and then I tried it, and I loved it! I have very sensitive skin, and it didn’t irritate it. It might be expensive, but it was worth every penny!!!

I have been ordering this since 2017 and just checked past orders…about every 6 months. So for the price, it lasts a long time. I suspect some are using too much and maybe that is why they run out. A fully depressed squirt for each cheek is really too much. I pump it once and spread it around quickly (avoiding my eyes). Then I use a night cream by L’Oreal (cheap at the drugstore). If I get lazy and just use the night cream alone, I can tell the difference (especially when traveling, I try to get by without it). At home, I tend to use DE every night (I clean my face without fail). When I do, my skin is always very smooth. I can’t say it lightens my age spots. But my face is somewhat brighter and less sallow. I just turned 75, so every little bit helps…. My updated review: I have purchased this several times on Amazon. The last time was April 2, 2023 for $33.15. I should have known better. You get what you pay for. It was a fake. I went on Drunk Elephant’s website and ordered it for $90……the real deal. Previously on Amazon I believe I got the real thing. But I paid either $90 or $88 or something similar. Wake-up if you are paying half price, you are not getting the real thing. I will now pay more attention to the who the seller is. ... show more
