This router bit did a great job flattening a fairly large Aspen wood slab. I recently built a table using part of a tree stump and needed a way to flatten the surface. I created a jig using two pieces of aluminum angle iron so that I could run my palm router back and forth along the table surface. I removed about 1/16 to 1/8 inch on each pass. The bit had no trouble cutting through the wood material. I probably made in excess of 50 passes and the bit still performed well. I am very happy with its performance and design. ... show more

I got this to plane my end grain cutting boards. I needed a big bit that would take fewer passes to cover the entire board. This bit works great. There is one problem, and i'm not sure if it is the bit or just my router/setup. It always seems to cut one side lower than the other, and i am left with lines to sand off. It could be that I got a bad bit, or that my router is just old and not spinning true, but it hasn't been a big enough deal for me to really pinpoint where the problem is. ... show more

I am an infrequent DIY woodworker who has always appreciated the value of having the right, good tool for the job. When I was young I couldn't always afford the best tools. I have router and bits I purchased probably 45 years ago and have used occasionally since. My daughter and I built a butcher block desk for her. It quickly became apparent I needed to get new bits. I was not familiar with this brand. I read the reviews and was impressed. I bought this bit and immediately upon use knew I made the right decision. I bet I saved an hour or more compared to the bit I was using before this. I used this bit in my 45+ year old router (in the video) and the difference was huge.
