I tried this product because I was looking for a “clean” hair product that would make my hair smooth. This leave in conditioner works great. I have long, thick, course hair. After I applied the conditioner and blow dried my hair, it was super smooth and soft. I only had to use my flat iron to smooth out a couple of spots. It barely has any smell, maybe just a hint of vanilla, which I loved. I dislike overly perfumed products. I only wish this leave in conditioner came in a spray bottle, but it’s still worth the purchase because of how soft it left my hair. I will definitely purchase this product again.

I had to take some time to figure out how to make this product work well for my hair. I got this to use after getting the Silkamino conditioning mask which is an actual game-changing conditioner (see my review for that one as well). For best results in my hair, which is long, wavy, frizzy, color treated and dry, I first use the Silkamino conditioning mask in the shower. Then I apply a combing cream (Black Vanilla by Carol's Daughter), comb through with my fingers, and let it soak in in a microfiber towel. THEN after a few minutes, I take the towel off and apply this Silkamino leave-in milk, scrunching a bit at the ends to retain my waves. I then blow dry the front part of my hair to make sure my bangs don't dry funny and let the rest air dry as much as I can. This method worked well and the combo of the mask, combing cream, and leave-in milk helped my hair air-dry without too much frizz and nice soft waves. The smell of this milk isn't as nice as the conditioning hair mask, imo. Right out of the bottle, it sort of smells dull and flat, like cardboard. Luckily, the smell doesn't linger. Once it's in your hair, there isn't much scent at all, which I'm happy for, because fragrances usually do a number on my allergies. Overall, if you're choosing just one product to amp up your hair game, I'd recommend the Silkamino conditioning mask first. This milk isn't a must-have in my opinion but so far it's working all right for me with the method outlined above. I'll update if it becomes the sort of product I just can't live without. Good luck to my frizzy-haired brethren out there!!

This is a superior product for use on damp hair before styling. I have thick, wavy, coarse hair that responds very well to this milk. I can use it on damp, conditioned hair without other products and it takes care of my frizz and leaves my hair looking healthy and bouncy. I find it superior to most curling creams and lotions I have tried, including Frieda, which I think it pretty good stuff. I don't notice any particular scent. My only complaints are that the viscosity is a little thin and the bottle is hard to open with the thick tape over the top.

I ordered this because I'm in the market for a new leave-in that hydrates my curls without weighing them down. I used it once from root to tip (currently testing 2 others) after using a conditioning mask, and it left my curls so silky - unbelievably soft...the thing is, my curls pattern didn't hold up. My hair was voluminous, soft, and poofy, rather than hydrated and maintained. While I loved how soft my hair was, I'll need to test it again to see if it relaxes my curls
