Great product for the cost. Very effective and help with me walking has I had a knee surgery resulting in a foot drop. When I’m wearing this I feel empowered and my stepping much easier. This give me comfort in the foot and I do not feel much pressure in walking. I recommend buying. Please ensure when tightening the string your other hand it pulling the shoe towards you. This brace is well designed and easy to use, but it broke after 8 months of intermittent use. I'm updating my prior review to say that JOMECA reached out to me with a full refund, no questions asked. I've been researching replacement braces since mine broke and I'm still convinced that this is a good choice and I have purchased another one. It's good to see the manufacturer stand behind their product.

We ordered this and it appears broken. we could not get the reel to release the metal cable.. So we ordered a replacement. It did not work. We ordered a third. It would not work on any of the three of the braces we ordered. Order #1 did not work - we thought it was bad luck to have one that arrived broken. So we ordered another and same thing, the steel reel would not budge. We ordered a third. Does not work. No help or videos online. DO NOT BUY this product.

The device works, I have multiple Saebos which this design is based on. The problem with the Saebo is price and string strength. I have MS and my drop foot is more like push foot my foot is always pushing down. This device works but if you have MS and you are active at all you will break the plastic tabs that hold the tensioner in. I bought two of these because of the price. I would have stayed with the Saebo if they used the wire string that this one uses. The first one failed first week and the second one I bought to see if I could redesign so it won't break. Not possible. Both devices work as intended but need design changes to make stronger when you are working. For light use walking around the house it works fine.

I started using Foot Drop Braces when my propensity for tripping got really bad. I purchased 5 different varieties on Amazon about a year ago. They all work well . I haven’t tripped while wearing one . But the Jomeca brace is without doubt the most versatile one. Sturdy, easy to use, extremely adjustable and adaptable to a broad range of shoes, it has become my go- to brace. I own eight of them, one for each of my pairs of shoes, both laced and slip ons. I use them every day, even on athletic shoes I wear on my treadmill! A great product at a great price!

I use this quite often for my foot drop. I do need shoes that lace up to attach the strap to my shoe. It is easy to adjust with the dial at any time. This helps because during the course of the day it does loosen from the constant pull of my laces. Eventually they can't be pulled anymore, and it all stabilizes.

I wish that you could order the velcro strap to replace the original one when it fails. My husband has a dropped right foot which has caused frequent falls. This is a big help but it has failed after about 2 months use because part of the velcro became useless. I would make this 5 star if they included a replacement strap or if I could buy a replacement. We have bought some velcro and my husband is using a glue gun to try to make a replacement.
