The GPS features like auto return, follow me, and orbit mode all work reliably and gives me a lot of confidence, especially if i want my kids to use it and they are beginners on drones. It holds position nicely and feels stable even with a bit of wind. Battery life is another big plus. With multiple batteries included, getting up to over an hour to around 70 minutes of total flight time is a huge advantage compared to many drones in this category which i used. *Overall: 4.4/5* - One of the most beginner-friendly drones that still shoots footage you’d actually use I picked this up as a travel drone and have ∼15 flights in. For staying under 249g, it packs in a lot of the “big drone” features. *What stands out:* - *4K EIS camera*: True 4K@30fps with electronic image stabilization. EIS isn’t a gimbal, but it handles light wind and normal pans really well. Footage is sharp in daylight. Low light gets noisy, so stick to golden hour/days. 12MP stills are solid for social. - *5.0" screen on controller*: Huge win. No need to drain your phone or deal with glare on a phone screen. Brightness is good enough for sunny days, and the built-in display means faster setup. Still has a phone holder if you want to run the app for maps. - *70 min flight*: Comes with two smart batteries, ∼35 min each. I consistently get 28-32 min per battery in mild wind, which is excellent for this weight class. - *GPS + Auto Return*: Locks 15-20 satellites in <90 seconds. Return-to-home is accurate to ∼3 ft. Also has low-battery and lost-signal RTH, which saved me once when I flew behind trees. Big confidence boost for beginners. - *Long range transmission*: Rated 4km, I lost video feed at ∼1.8km in a suburban area. More than enough for legal VLOS flying. Feed is 720p with minimal lag. - *AI Track/Orbit/Follow Me*: Follow Me tracks walking/biking at <15mph reliably. ActiveTrack isn’t Skydio-level but keeps you centered if you don’t move erratically. Orbit mode makes smooth circles for b-roll. - *Under 249g + foldable*: No FAA registration in the US if flown recreationally. Folds to the size of a large phone. Fits in a jacket pocket with the controller. *Limitations to know:* - *No 3-axis gimbal*: EIS crops the image and can’t fix hard jolts or fast yaw. Yaw smoothly or you’ll see micro-jitters. Wind >15mph will overpower it. - *Fixed camera angle via wheel*: Tilt is manual, not automatic in tracking modes. You have to pre-set the angle. - *No obstacle avoidance*: Relies on GPS positioning only. You are the avoidance system. If you need cinematic low-light or tight obstacle flying, step up to a 3-axis gimbal model. *Tips*: Calibrate compass before first flight. Start in “beginner mode” which limits distance/height. Buy a landing pad - the downward sensors get confused by grass. *Bottom line*: This is the “DJI Mini SE” competitor that costs less and gives you a screen on the controller. The 70 min total flight + GPS reliability + sub-249g weight make it the best starter drone I’ve flown in 2026. Just respect the wind and lack of obstacle sensors.

Great beginner drone for the price. The 4K camera provides clear footage and the GPS keeps the drone stable during flight. I really like the controller with the built-in screen since I don’t need to connect my phone. Battery life is decent with two batteries included. Got it few days ago and been playing with it a lot, Honestly it’s pretty fun and easy once you get used to it. Camera quality looks nice, not super pro but still really good for me. I like the follow me thing, works most times. Battery lasts longer than I expected. Controls confused me a bit at first lol but now it’s okay. Good starter drone I think

This is my 2nd drone. It is really a great solid entry level drone! The features packed in it impress me a lot. Forget about those toy drones package you can get from TJMax (I got one) coz they are really just a toy, not serious enough for adult or grown up kid. Still learning what it can do...but no turning back. Things I like : - Operation : Very Easy to operate for beginner. It was a very windy day when I first tried it and it still flew smoothly. Even my 8 yrs old can fly it without much training. - Built-in Screen : I don't like to install unknown app on my phone, so having a built in screen and no delay in video is a big +. It is one of the primary reasons I pick this. - Battery : I got around 30 mins flight time per battery and it comes with 2. The remote control also has built-in rechargeable battery as well - Travel and protection : it is very light weight and small enough. It comes with a padded carrying case and it is easy to carry around. - Camera : the on screen video is pretty clear. You can control the camera angle from the remote also. - Return to base : it automatically returns to me before it runs out of juice and it does work! Nothing is perfect, of course, there are things I would hope it can do better - As mentioned by other people, the charging time is pretty long. - Speed : there are two speed modes - slow and fast. The fast mode is slightly faster than my son running but I wish it can fly faster though - Range : not sure if it is error in description or what, the manual says it is 600M range instead. That's good enough control distance as a beginner. I don't want to lose it somewhere couple miles away All in all, it is an impressive solid drone for beginner. My son and I had so much fun with it.
