  • Very easy setup, works great
Style: fpv drone
This is my second drone. I bought one several years ago, and it worked fine, but eventually it got broken by my lazy ways of just leaving it around. It was just a simple break and might have been able to be fixed. But I never did it. This one has foldable arm blades that fits into a carrying pouch, which will obviously help me avoid the previous stupidity. It also has two rechargeable batteries for the drone, which I have yet to try out for their chargeability. They say not to charge it to a wall socket -- only to a USB port on a computer, which if I had not read that little paragraph, I would have probably ruined it by plugging into a little wall socket charger. The setup went really quick last night. I successfully downloaded the software to my iPhone by just taking a picture of the icon in the instruction booklet. It was the first time that I have ever done that. And, it worked great! It immediately downloaded it to my iPhone! Anyway. You can in fact teach new tricks to old dogs. I'm sure there are other ways to download it to your cell phone. I turned on the power to the drone, and it showed two green lights and two red lights under the propeller arms. I didn't know what this meant, but I continued to read the instructions, and it said to use the controller console to pair the drone with a wifi. I kept trying that several times and gave up after a while. The next morning I was thinking about it in my sleep, and I realized that the console probably needed AA batteries. And, there you have it. I put batteries into the console, and the whole thing paired and started up in my house. It was raining hard outside and prevented any use out there. I did the down to the right of the two joy sticks to get it going, and it started right up. Not having piloted a drone in several years, I got the dang thing up in the air in my kitchen, and I was a little scared about how to deal with this thing. It was about waist height and not doing any harm. But, there it was hovering in my kitchen, and I didn't really know how to make this thing move. I just did what I usually do and just tap here and there and see what happens. I eventually realized the left joystick controls up and down, and the right joystick controls left and right. And, I eventually landed the thing on the floor about a few feet from me. I was worried what I needed to do after it landed, but when it hits the floor, the blades stop spinning -- maybe some kind of automatic stop thing. I haven't gone out yet and tried out the camera and the rest of the functions. I have piloted a drone before and saved many pictures at high altitudes. So, I am about to go out and try it all out again. Update 04-28-2025 I just returned this item a little while ago by repackaging it and applying the label that Amazon sent me to my email while talking on the phone. (It is very rare for me to return any items from Amazon, I don't know, just a guess, about 0.1 %, which is about 1 out of 1000. I think I can remember one other item that I returned a few years ago.) So now I am guessing that I don't have to tap on my Amazon "Returns and Orders" section and push the buttons on this drone purchase. I had tried to do that, but they only offered two distinct choices, either Staples or UPS. On the Staples button, it shows that they will send me a return mail printout. However, every time I tried to use the UPS button, it said something about going to my original order and finding the return slip there. I kept trying that, and of course, doing all this in various tabs of my browser, eventually, all of my hard work of describing the problem got lost somewhere. It was gone. It really got me angry. I tried hard to fill out the forms and do the work, and I am not a stupid guy. I'm not going to mention my science degrees and my professional computer experience, . . ., well I guess I just did. After over an hour of trying things 2, 3, and 4 times, I had to try a different route. So, I called Amazon. The nice lady there knew what to do. I need to send her a good rating. I was a little upset while talking to her. But she handled it gracefully and sent the return label to my email address (thank goodness I have it and my phone number recorded with Amazon). That said, here's the final explanation of why I just had to return this item. My first problem was getting the drone synced with my iPhone. I spent a day trying to do this while also trying to fly it. The flying was still off. It would lift it up, and it would immediately go to the right, and operating the joysticks just did not work right. I did many runs of this, and it would go maybe 50 feet before I had to just bring it down, which luckily I knew how to do and that left joystick worked fine. I could bring it up and down, but then left and right was totally off of what the joysticks were supposed to do. The next day I tried it again. And, who would figure, the drone's camera was synced with my iPhone. So, that problem was fixed, and I don't know what it was. I kept going to the manual and looking for what I was doing wrong. It says to turn off Wifi on the iPhone. I did that the first time. But nothing. What was really weird was that when I brought it all back into my house and tried doing the same thing, it worked fine. Outside, I couldn't even get the propellers going. Inside, they worked fine. So, big mystery. My final try another day was just to fly the thing. The same problems were happening, but at least the camera was working. But every time I pressed the left joystick to raise it just a little, it would lift off the ground and immediately fly to the right. After that, it was impossible to control. I tried doing this at least 3 or 4 times, maybe more. And, that's when I just gave up and decided that this product is faulty and that I need to return it. It seems like a good product, and maybe it was only this one that had problems from the start. I don't know if I would be willing to buy another one. At a really good price of $69, I might spend more next time to get a better drone. ... show more

  • Pretty decent drone for beginners!
Style: drone
The media could not be loaded. I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He is a beginner drone operator, and i wanted one that was easy to operate, and had features that would be helpful if needed. It has GPS, Follow Me, and Return to Home, which all have been helpful and fun to learn to use. The remote is easy to operate and has a holder for your phone while you use the app on it to operate the drone. The app was easy to download and set up. The camera takes pretty decent pictures day or night, and the videos are good quality as well. The gamble and shoot buttons are easy use and operate even for him! Which is a feat sometimes because of the limited use of some of his fingers. At this price point we didn't expect much, but we were highly impressed. The only downside to this model is the battery life. It boasts 20 mins per battery, and comes with 2 batteries, but the most we've gotten out of them is about 15 mins per battery. We bought an extra battery to have on hand to extend our flying time, which I recommend. ... show more

  • Good for money
Style: screen drone
Pretty good little drone to play around with. First drone I've owned and it's pretty simple and easy to fly. Flight times aren't as long as advertised and signal distance isn't as far as advertised. Couple times video froze and I thought it was lost, but gps return home bright it right back. Don't fly long distance without first calibrating and activating gps or it might be gone. ... show more

  • Great 1st Starter Drone!
Style: drone
Wow! I am usually VERY critical of Chinese products, especially when it comes to electronics like this. Never have I flown or owned a Drone before.. Until now! This purchase was for the Step-Father for Christmas, only to end up one for myself as well. Heh.. so between him and I, we learned a lot.. be warned though, these Drones have an OPEN WiFi signal, anyone nearby could connect to it. This is also how you get passed that annoying, "No TS Card detected" The card is optional and only if you want to take pictures or video and that goes on the Micro SD Card. Anyways.. I've crashed this Drone in a tree, into a wall and a cinder block wall.. its blades have scratches and its flying with no issues! My Step-Father had one crash so bad, sand got into three of the motors, causing the rotors to stop spending.. I turned it upside down, sprayed can air up in those, then gently spun the rotors till the sand crunch stopped.. and it's still flying! These things may look, feel, be made cheap.. but they seem to take a remarkable level of a beating. The only downside I can see to getting one of these is battery time and the potiential spy risk associated with Chinese products. ... show more

  • Good drone for the price
Style: fpv drone
The media could not be loaded. I bought the drone to start off with as a beginner since I couldn’t bring myself to buying a $200 drone to start off with. The drone does really good flying it is fun to fly around and start off with. Reason I gave 3 stars is because the battery life fully charged only lets you fly for maybe 20 min before it dies, another reason is the picture quality isn’t that great. Also you can’t go to far with it using your phone when connected, connectivity is poor but like I said I bought this as something to start off with, this is a good product to get you started and learn the basics. ... show more

  • Not for anyone looking to fly right away
Style: screen drone
Takes an act of god to get the thing to fly, when you are able to get it airborne the controls are constantly changing, controller drains battery fast, drone will sometimes just start flying away, the carrier case is good quality tho.
