I had these for over six months now... They work very well. I mounted one on a wooden stake about three feet off the ground, and about three feet from the driveway. It notifies me of cars and people walking up my driveway. It does pickup deer, but since it's three feet above the driveway - it doesn't pickup squirls or cats. It does miss fast moving cars sometimes. The instructions tells you - not to mount it straight , but I did and it's working fine. Mine doesn't get full some, still works fine. I have it mounted around 200 feet from the receiver and it does have a one second delay to notify me that something is coming up my driveway. Still plenty enough time for me to see who's coming. We bought the 1/2 mile system about 20 months ago. We live 1/2 mile off the main road on a shared drive until you get within 300 feet of our house. This house is well sealed, it takes a noisy vehicle to know that someone has driven up. We were tired of the surprise guests at the front door. I placed one unit about a 1/4 mile away on the common gravel road and the second at the entrance of our drive. We now know when someone is on the general drive and when they have driven on our land. Last month, the receiver quit working. I can not tell you how strange it felt to have people at the door ‘unannounced.’ I had an internal nudge to check the warranty and found that it was 24 months. I emailed the company (email is clearly labeled on the unit, thanks for that). They asked for my Amazon invoice # and in just days a fresh unit was on our porch (unannounced, haha). I paired everything and we are back in business. These guys did a super job in producing this unit and in supporting it. Thanks so much! Side note: I did open one of the sensor units and note that it had some moisture in it. (I noticed someone reviewing about them not being watertight.) My remedy was to take some of the “FLEX” tape and cover the seam to seal it up. ... show more

    • Perfect for long driveways

We got this to put at the front and back driveways at our house. It wasn’t until one night my daughter walked outside and there was someone at our house asking if we had a dog out. Really freaked her out. We had no way of knowing someone was there so we got these. They have separate sounds for each entrance so we know which way they are coming from. It’s loud enough that we can hear it all though out the house. Just make sure if you have wild animals, deer and such, that you put it up high enough that they won’t trip it when they walk past it. I have never written a review on this product even though I purchased and installed them in the spring of 2021. These driveway alarms were super easy to install going up my long driveway and always worked very well to announce for me any visitor I might have coming (yes even the deer). At one point a few weeks ago the receiver that is plugged in the house quit ringing to alert me that someone was coming. I tried a few different things to reconnect them to the alarms but did not have any luck. I contacted the company and Robin emailed me right back with some suggestions I could try to see if the receiver would reconnect. Still no luck! I emailed Robin back to let him know that the suggestions did not work and he replied right back once again to let me know that a new receiver would be sent to me within a couple of days. Yes I did receive it and at no charge. Once again it was very easy to reconnect the receiver to the alarms and I was up and running again! All of this happened within 5-6 days, from the time I contacted the company until I received my new receiver! Thank you Robin for helping this old lady feel safe again! ... show more

So far I am VERY happy with the driveway alarm. It does what it is supposed to do, although I wish there was a way to stop the stray cat and occasional wild animal from setting it off at midnight. It never misses a car or human in the driveway and it makes it easier to greet visitors at the door when I know when they arrive BEFORE ringing my doorbell. I had problems with the receiver not operating as expected. Informed the seller who assured me that a replacement would be sent asap. Was told to watch a specific You Tube video which would assure me success in setting up the system. This is the 2nd system I bought. I did not encounter any problems when setting up the first one. However, I followed the video instructions, as recommended by the seller and everything was easy and successful. I had this in my cart for weeks while shopping for others. I thought for $45 it can’t be that good. I was WRONG! This thing is great! I have a longer driveway and the chime reaches all the way out there every time. I expected to have to charge it by cord due to the location I installed it, but I have not had to charge it once. We live in the country and have a guard dog that’s gone deaf. After having someone come up to the door and we didn’t know they were there, we decided to get these. We have 2 ways into the property, so put a different ring on each side, so we know which way they are coming in.
