This walker works very well for travel. It's lightweight and folds simply and quickly to park out of the way or fit in a trunk. If you take out the locking knobs, it can collapse to be more compact (can go through airport x-ray machines that way if needed). The wire basket wasn't very useful - we just tossed it. No seat for resting, and not as tip-resistant as a 4-wheel walker, but a good compromise for someone who needs a bit more stability than a cane and values portability. IMPORTANT NOTE: it is necessary to extend the back wheels (and screw down the locking knobs) after unpacking. If you don't do this, the walker will too easily tip. ... show more

    • Lightweight, easy to fold, perfect for taking in the car
I bought this rollator for a specific need, as a "companion" to the heavier 4 wheel rollator I use at home. I needed something lightweight, easy to fold and which would fit into the car. This 3 wheel rollator met all those needs perfectly. I can fold it with one hand and lift it into the back of the car myself, without any help. It was also very easy to assemble. With regards to the complaints about stability, here is my experience. 1. Extend the wheels *all the way* before you try to use it. They pull out and lock into place. 2. Don't try to use the rollator to pull yourself up from a chair. It's not meant to do that. Push yourself up to a standing position using the chair arms then reach for the rollator. (Didn't the rehab nurses teach us to do that anyway?) 3. Stability: Your own experience may vary, and caution is always needed when using mobility aids. I found this rollator to be stable in normal walking. In testing, I had to intentionally place my hands and elbows in a specific position in order to tilt the rollator back so the front wheel left the ground. It didn't raise up with normal walking, only after I moved my hands to the back of the grips and intentionally dropped my elbows was I able to get it to pull up. I also found I could tilt the rollator onto a left or right back wheel if I changed the position of my hands/elbows and deliberately tried to do so. It didn't tilt in normal walking. I have (so far) had a good experience with this rollator (no stability issues) and have happily used it in the mall and at a strip shopping center. Each person is different as to how they walk, but I had no stability issues when walking with this 3 wheeler. ... show more

    • Dangerous Rollator….beware! ALERT; My mistake. Changing review from a 1 Star to a 5 star.
I received my Drive Medical 3 wheel rollator yesterday and put it together right away. The minute I test drove it, the front wheel came up off the ground and nearly dumped me on the floor. So it won’t even support you which is the whole purpose of a rollator. To give you support. The basket is a mess….impossible to install so it’s stable enough to carry anything. I gave up on that as well. I was so disappointed because I needed a smaller device to use inside my home. I have a Drive 4 wheeler which is excellent, but it is heavy enough to support you leaning on it and would never dump you popping a wheelie. I have to box it all up and return it today. It is unacceptable….in fact very dangerous. I am so disappointed. Amazon tagged this device as ‘Recommended’. They need to remedy that notation immediately. Boy did I goof up. Now my only complaint is maybe a little better instructions and bigger photos. I have changed my review from a 1 to a 5. I should have known. I have a Drive Nitro walker that is excellent and now that my son spotted the problem with the new Rollator, I have another Drive walker for in the house. My son, thank heaven, stopped by and complimented me on the rollator. I explained I had to send it back because it tipped and wouldn’t support my weight. I was afraid of falling. He had the same results when he tried to walk with it. Then he looked down at the lowest bars and said, OHHHHHH…..here we go. You have to extend the lower bars between the front and back wheels on both sides which gives you a larger/balanced wheel base. I tried it after he adjusted it and voila! Worked beautifully. I’m so happy I couldn’t wait to post this in case others have the same problem with performance and instructions. I had filed for a return but now all is well.
