I have had the non memory foam egg crate pads in the past, and was not sure about memory foam, but this is a great mattress topper. I wish I had gotten the 3 inch instead of the 2 inch, but this is so much better for my lower back than the padded mattress topper I replaced. There was no odor when removed from package which was a major plus, and I did leave it out flat for 3 days as it suggested on the directions. I have the queen size and it actually overlaps the mattress just a little bit, but the sheets fit perfectly over it and it stays in place. I bought this to use as a "mattress" to sleep inside my bronco sport. It was definitely comfortable enough to sleep on, but I think it would be better if it was double the thickness (maybe buy two and double up.) Then it would be a dream! The only down side is, once you unroll it, the nice little compact size goes out the window. for starters it’s beyond comfortable and definitely keeps you cool. i kinda dislike the edges hanging off mattress.. it makes it fit weird. i wish it had rounded edges but once you put a fitted sheet it makes it less noticeable. it had no smell out the packaging. so over all a great purchase and i’ve been sleeping better since buying it! ... show more
