The DREAMHOUR Bamboo Fiber Comforter is a really nice comforter/duvet insert. I was surprised to see that each of those squares are sewn through. There are no tack stitching, it is not needed and it is much better to have it sewn through like this. It secures the batting so it won't move, bunch up, or rip as easy as if it were just tack stitching. This is the way a comforter should be made! There are 8 corner tabs as they call them. One in each corner and the other four are in between which look like loops. These are important when using this as a duvet insert so it can be secured to the duvet. Otherwise, just as I said how the batting will move and bunch up if not stitched down, so will this comforter if just left in a duvet cover unsecured to it. The edges of the comforter are double stitched which creates a strong, crisp edge. I haven't seen any problems with the stitching on this comforter as far as missed or broken stitching anywhere on it. I have this on a twin sized bed because it is easier for me to put it in the duvet cover on the smaller bed (easier to reach across and less walking around to the other side) and it is really nice inside the cover. I have never mastered getting the duvet cover on the way they do in the videos no matter how many times I watched it. However, this is a lot easier to get in because it was simple to tack the top thanks to the tabs and move along tacking and pulling the cover over. I didn't bother taking a photo of it when I was done since you can't see it (only the duvet cover) but it is the perfect size and fills the duvet cover very well. As far as using it, I used it both as a comforter (as is) and as the insert for the duvet cover. It is not heavy to sleep under but certainly warmer than just a blanket. I am not sure of how well it breaths when inside the duvet cover but I wasn't sweaty using it either way. It doesn't make that weird material sound that some other comforters do when rolling over at night and moving it. It is soft, almost silky feeling. It is machine washable and dryable (on low). There was no shedding or color loss. It comes out looking as nice as it did before washing although it may be a tiny bit more wrinkled now since I did not take it out of the dryer promptly. If it is, that is my fault for going out before the dryer stopped but to me, I wouldn't really call it wrinkled anyways. This is a really lightweight, soft comforter. The size is perfect and it's super comfortable and great for both regular bedding and to take camping. It's a synthetic material, so the fabric has that soft/brushed feeling. If you're a hot sleeper, this will make you hotter than a 100% cotton comforter. This comforter is a bit thinner which is great when you keep your room at a great temp. If you are like our household, we like to keep our house at 69-70 and still have a nice thick comforter. This comforter is definitely that: Comfortable. I have found the rising popularity of bamboo as a filler indicative of a market that appreciates cooler temps, while not having to go without thickness and plush and fluff and other such sentiments and descriptions. This comforter definitely does all those things. Once out of the package, according to the directions, I fluffed and primped the little blanky until it was nice and tender, then plunked it on into the dryer for a proper "poofing". All went according to plan, and the result was a lightly warmed and ready piece of bedding. It is pretty to look at. The color is nice, deep and rich. (I chose black). Black is a good choice in an overly bright room, to provide some contrast and absorb some of the glare. This black is nice pale by any means, and I would expect they would have quality colors on other selections. The fill is what I would call "medium". It's definitely not "hotel thick", which makes you feel like your drowning in a sea of softness, and often overheated because of that. It definitely has substance, however, and is not light at all. For instance, I like to tuck my toesies under the comforter at the bottom, and if the blanket or comforter is too thin, it just doesn't feel right. I have tried this with some "cooling" comforters, and they really are cold... yet they are also fairly thin. They just don't offer that sense of being "cozied" like a solid piece of bedding can do. Not so, here. At the same time, while it definitely has some good thick feel to it, I found it to be very "airy". It absolutely is not the comforter for you, if you like it warm. Not going to happen for you, here. Instead, this comforter breathes sublimely and effectively. It's got a nice feel to it, soft and approachable. Not at all scratchy, and leaning more toward luxury than not, though still a middle softness overall. I would call this for most, a three season comforter, though some will like it all year round. In the end, I consider that for some, they will not like this in summer, but will love it the other three seasons. Others might not like it in winter, but again, the other three seasons they will love it. I say this, as with some, its warmth will be too much in summer, and with others, it won't be enough in winter. It's definitely a nice product that I recommend giving it a go. Needed to switch from winter to summer duvet in the guest bedroom. This is a very nice, but very lightweight comforter. I wish there was a bit more heft to it, but it is soft and comfortable. Very nice comforter. Nice and light, this feels like a late spring/through summer type thickness. It breathes very well (I am a VERY hot sleeper). It is pretty soft. The stitching is good with no loose threads I saw anywhere on it. The corner loops are good and also stitched well.
