I have been considering a “cubby bed” for my kiddo, but they are expensive, and messing around with insurance is tiresome. I found a previous review on this product from a fellow autism parent and decided “yes, I’m buying this one right now” product fits description well. It’s literally a rectangular tent that fits over top of the bed, with no floor so it’s easy to move for cleaning. It comes with a carrying case just like a tent would, so it’s super portable and not heavy to carry. It was easy to assemble, took less than 10 minutes for my husband and I to put together for our kiddo. Our son used to launch himself into the air and SLAM his entire body weight onto his mattress when frustrated. He has broken several bed frames doing this, and shakes the entire house like a human wrecking ball. 😅 since purchasing… my son no longer tries to enter the basement through his bedroom floor lol, he gets more restful sleep, wakes up in a great mood, and has been seeking sensory input in other ways (such as using his exercise ball to bounce on). It’s so cool! Like a personal fort! My husband keeps asking “when is our bed tent arriving?” And I keep saying “as soon as I can order one! 😃”

Pretty simple to put together - I was able to set it up with only a few setbacks, but I was very inebriated, and managed to get it done in less than twenty minutes, so it should be a snap if you do it sober. It fits my chair sleeper PERFECTLY, and with the lack of a floor, I was able to simply put it over the sleeper. There's enough room to sit up straight, and it's even long enough for my 6'3 friend to stretch out with me without issue. Ventilation is decent, but I recommend getting a fan to help pull in fresh air. It keeps out a decent amount of light, too. There could be a few more hooks for hanging lights, but otherwise I'm very happy with this purchase.

Was desperate to find a safe sleeping solution for my autistic child as we’ve been through several of the Alvantor bed tents already as they are thinly made, popes break easily and several pole ends popped thru the fabric, kids easily tripped thru the screened sections or the seam where fabric of tent is sewn to the bottom part was easily torn. Wasn’t happy with their tent quality or their customer service, so I was desperate to find a better tent solution while waiting for a safety bed from our insurance. Pros: LOVE the poles being sturdier and on the outside of the tent. This makes the whole tent more secure and the child can’t get to them to break them. Nice dark fabric insures a good nights sleep even in summer months when it’s lighter lm out later Lots of options for screened sections in summer heat so it stays cooler with ceiling fan on Folds down to a super small size which would make it great for traveling / vacations etc Perfect for a college kid too! Cons: doesn’t have a “bottom” to it. Though my son has realized it mostly because the tent is tight once on the frame so when u install it over the mattress and tuck in under the mattress it’s quite tight. Now, that’s not saying a smart kid couldn’t figure it out and wriggle their way out my so far my 6 yo Houdini hasn’t gotten out that way. The zippers can be opened from inside or outside which of course is needed for your average person but if you are using this for a neuro diverse child then it’s an issue. I had to cut off all the cords attached to the zipper pulls and had to use locking caribeaners on outside zippers to make sure he could elope during the night while I slept. This worked great and was still super easy for me to unlock in a dark room when o needed to get him up for the bathroom, nightmare etc. I bought those caribeaners off Amazon as well. Overall, it’s working so I can sleep at night! Is it a true safety bed no, could small improvements be made by the company to make it an affordable options for parents needing a safety bed but can’t afford the $7000 -$15000 price tag yes!!! And I’ve sent in my suggestions to them and they were very responsive. Overall very happy! I haven’t slept in 8 years with 3 autistic kiddos and I’m happy to say day one out for f the box I slept the whole night thru which was the first time in a long time and MUCH needed.

This thing is great, and without even reading the instructions, I was able to set it up in less than 30mins. It's super sturdy, too. I got the Full, and it fits my bed perfectly. Easy to get in and out of, and it does block light rather well. Plus it just feels fun to be in. Its symmetry pleases me, as well. I also appreciate the double pockets on either side It's not exactly going to keep you warm tho, it does stop drafts, but it kind of just evens out to the ambient room temperature on the inside, even with the doors zipped closed. And maybe I didn't notice, but I wouldn't have minded a slot to pass cords through, but not the biggest of deals. But if none of that's an issue for you, then 10/10 would buy again and recommend to a friend.

This thing actually works. My dog (who sleeps with me in my king size bed) had surgery and was not to do any jumping onto or off couches or the bed. This worked great. I'll confess, putting it up solo was a challenge. Invite a friend or two to help you unless your buying a small size. Directions are terrible, but youtube has clear step-by-step videos. It's actually very cozy and peaceful inside. We may just leave it up once he's healed (probably not, but that's how well it works).

We have a dachshund pup with a spinal injury and needed a way to keep him from jumping off the bed and reinjuring himself. This canopy tent has been perfect! Our 75 pound dog also is still able to jump in and onto his spot. We have PLENTY of head clearance and the fan still passes through the sheer mesh. Can't say enough great things about this product! Assembly...two of us put it together and it was no more difficult than putting up a small tent. We did have a problem with one of the corner pieces. I contacted customer service and they immediately responded and quickly sent us everything we needed (and more) to make sure that our problem was resolved. They stand behind their products! My only concern is that I'm going to need to order more...the grandbabies think it's a fort and are dying to play in it and sleep over now! (...which will also be an excellent way to keep children from rolling out of the bed!) :)

This is a pretty flimsy and cheap product for the money. The material is so thin that it barely exists, same with the stitching. It flexes and is not sturdy in any way, and the zippers on the doors are cut too low, making it tough to get in and out of and blocking the view out of the front.
