I love these. I use them to 'hide' the snow on some of my Christmas Village houses when I set them up for spring & summer. They stick well and come off later without marking up the paint job on my ceramic houses.

My husband has been leveling up his miniature painting and RPG terrain work, and static grass tufts are one of those finishing details that make a base look complete rather than just finished. This set gives a good variety — grass tufts and flower clusters across multiple colors — which means you can build realistic variation across a base rather than everything reading as the same height and tone. One thing he worked out quickly: cutting the clumps in half or even thirds makes them go farther and actually look more proportionate to the scale, so the 129-piece count stretches further than it initially seems. The self-adhesive backing holds well on most surfaces, though he adds a drop of glue on pieces that will see regular game handling. The pink flower clusters are bright straight out of the packaging — more neon than realistic — but a light paint wash knocked them back to something that looks genuinely good. Shedding has been minimal. The color palette leans spring-to-summer, which is the most versatile but worth knowing if you're working on an autumn or winter scene.

While these static grass and flower tufts state that they do well for 1:72 -1:35 scale, I'd argue they work better for the larger scales versus something like a 1:72 scale scene. The grass comes in at around 5mm tall (0.2inches) and over 10mm wide (0.4inches), and the flowers are closer to 8mm tall (0.3inches) and over 15mm wide (0.6inches). Which, to me, is just too big for 1:72, or at least it only works for some very large clumps of over waist-high greenery on a 25mm high figure. For 1:72 scale, I'd stick with the tried and true 2mm tall grass (0.08inches tall). For the larger scales, like 1:54,1:60, or 1:64 with 30mm and 54mm high figures, this is more realistic looking, if not still a little tall. I use these tufts for 1:12 dollhouse scale, and they are perfect for that. The colors on these are vivid, but not too cartoonishly bright. There is one style of grass tuft that I'd say is a bit too unrealistically close to Kelly green, but to me the rest of the tufts and flowers look like colors of real foliage I have seen. There is nothing that stands out to me as too neon or unrealistic to the point where I wouldn't use it. There is definitely a larger variety of grass colors than I have seen in some other packs. So far, the quality has been nice. While there has been shedding, especially with the flowers, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much of the grass and flowers were well adhered to the tuft. I expected more shedding from the grass, but it was very well attached. The flowers shed a bit more, and were harder to get to the point where all the loose flower bits had been removed, but they still kept a lot more on the tufts than some other brands I have messed with. My biggest complaint with the loose flowers was fishing all the colored flower bits out of the green shrub tufts. There were a lot of colored flowers parts that had come loose and then crammed themselves very deeply into the green shrub bits, and it was a true pain in the rear to get them back out. I'd recommend using the thinnest pointiest tweezers one can find for that task. While all the colored flowers got into all the other parts, the green shrub strip was the worst to get picked back clean again. I also noticed the listing said to use glue with these, but they come with their own sticky already on the bottom once they are peeled off the backing paper. I am sure glue would be great to make sure they never moved again, but I have found the adhesive they come with is working well so far. I did have a small issue with the way some of my items had shifted or were placed together oddly at the factory. Many of my grass tufts had plenty of room in the box, but had become or were placed all crammed up against each other at one end of the box. Some of them had folded over on each other and the grass and flower tufts had been smashed up/flattened out a bit there. They are still usable, but I was sad to see about 10 distinctly more flat grass tufts and a very smashed white flower in the set upon opening. Overall, I'd recommend these. The colors are nice, they have a good retention of materials on the tufts, and they look great in my miniature nature scenes.

My wife has recently gotten into miniature crafts, so I picked this set up for her supplies—and it turned out to be a great choice. What I really like is the variety. It comes with a large assortment of different styles, shapes, and colors, not just one or two types. That gives her plenty of options to choose from depending on the project she’s working on. I’m not an expert in this kind of hobby since it’s more her thing, but I can tell these look really nice. The colors are vibrant, and the designs are detailed, which makes them perfect for adding realistic touches to miniature scenes. Another big plus is that they already come with adhesive on the bottom, so they’re super easy to place without any extra glue or hassle. Also, they arrive in a storage box, which helps keep everything organized and prevents them from getting crushed when stored. Draupnir set of 129 miniature grass and flower tufts is nice. There is a good amount of vegetation in this set. Each strip of 10 grass tufts is slightly different in shade giving a variety of usage options. Each of 7 strips of 7 flower bunches/bushes is well done. There is plenty of color on their tops to resemble flower beds. The green and orange strips resemble shrubs a bit more and are less like flowers. The bottoms of each bunch have a sticky disk. I did not find it to be super sticky. I make miniature landscapes for children and will surely need more adhesive to keep these in place. If your mini landscapes are just for admiring and not touching, the adhesive is likely adequate. I have purchased many of these mini vegetation sets thus far. This set has a good quantity and variety. Set comes with a hard transparent carry case for storage and protection.
