I have hypermobility in the MPC joint in my thumb. Over the past couple years it’s gotten very loose and is very sore. This brace fits well, is comfortable and serves its purpose. Unfortunately, it did have a strong chemical odor to it so I washed it this morning. Still has a lingering of a chemical smell, so I think I’ll wash it again. I purchased the wrist brace in December due to a very painful wrist. A nerve test was recommended, but not scheduled until the end of Feb. I've worn the brace each night since receiving it and it has reduced the pain that was waking me during the night. So I'm pleased with the results. However, the lining fabric is separating from the outer fabric for about 6 inches below the thumb area. I have not washed the brace or cleaned it in any way. I sent an email to the address listed on the package to inquire about ways to repair it and have not received a reply. The lower review number is based on the wear problem and no reply from the company.. A higher rating would have been given based on the reduced pain while wearing the brace. The media could not be loaded. I injured my thumb and really need to keep it stabilized. I have tried many other products on Amazon, and this is THE BEST THUMB SPLINT that really holds my thumb from moving. I had another splint that was very similar to this one but it had three velcro straps. Those velcro straps kept coming loose. This product, The velcro straps are good, there is only 2. It is a little difficult putting on the brace by yourself, but once you get the hang of it, Then it's no problem. I like that the quality is good but it's not big and bulky.
