I recently purchased a pair of Dr. Martens shoes, and overall, I'm quite impressed. They have a beautiful design and seem to be of excellent quality. The size fits perfectly, and the weight, while a bit heavy, gives them a sturdy feel. However, I did notice a notable detail in the design. The upper part of the heel counter is quite rigid and ends in a slight forward incline. This feature introduces a certain discomfort at the back of the foot. Wearing the shoes snugly can potentially cause rubbing against the Achilles tendon, leading to some discomfort. While the aesthetic appeal and overall quality are undeniable, I would advise potential buyers to be mindful of the fit, especially if opting for a snug size. 4.5 stars- comfortable shoes that stopped my crab walk after i got home from work (taking off shoes and feet cant seem to support me anymore, weird pressure points etc. this has alleviated.) I do have to use some heel liners to get these shoes to fit snugly and they need to be tighter than tight but they work, alleviated a good amount of foot discomfort from working 8 hours a day. They are about a 8/10 on the slip resistance imo. The only downside is the thick bottom of the shoe sometimes gets caught on tiles/raised flooring and if i didnt have better balance i might have fallen. Pick your feet up when you walk. ... show more

I’m a long time Dr. Marten lover so I bought these for a new job. I wore them for only four shifts and the slip resistant patch of the sole started peeling off. Definitely disappointing for the amount I’m paying, and I used to think highly of Docs particularly for their durability. I can’t return them for a replacement because they’re the only shoes I have to wear to work. Just disappointed, but I’ve had the same pair in black and they were great. I’ll also say that the brown leather scratches and scuffs way easier than the black, but I don’t mind that too much. ... show more
