I have suffered from chronic back pain for almost 15 years since I had a bad fall. I eventually found out that I have a bulging L4/L5, and doctors have told me short of surgery, there is nothing they can do for me, and it’s not bad enough for surgery to be an option anyway. I also dislocated my hip and it never healed right. Standing or walking for any length of time is difficult, if not unbearable, and sometimes my feet go numb, especially in tall chairs (I essentially can’t have my feet dangle). I’ve tried corsets and braces and waist trainers to improve my posture and keep my back in alignment, with mixed results. My first impression is that it looks a bit like a brace crossed with a corset, the way the back tightens with the straps. But however they put this thing together, I LOVE it. I was able to walk around at an event for several hours and only needed to sit twice. I had some difficulty getting it just where I wanted it (had to lay down to put it on), but I was able to angle it up (lower in back/higher in front) to sit right above my hips, so it also helped my hip stay in alignment. I wouldn’t recommend trying to eat with it on, though. Otherwise, I felt like I could wear it all day, after gradually building up wear time, like you do with corsets and waist trainers. The first time I wore it, my stomach felt really weird after I took it off, but lying down helped that problem too. I may have gone too tight too quickly. I have a very wide frame, with large hips and ribcage, but this still fit well. Didn’t roll or slide up or down, it stayed put very well. A lot of “unisex” braces are too long for my torso and hurt my ribs, but this was just about right. And I really like the little triangular wedge that can velcro in. It helps give a little extra lumbar support just where I need it. It is also breathable, I didn’t get sweaty underneath even after wearing it for about 6 hours. I honestly can’t think of anything negative about this back brace. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

By providing a cushion that is both solid and unexpectedly mild on my lower spine, the lumbar support pad that was included in the package made it simpler for me to stand up straight without experiencing the painful pinch that I often get after sitting for an extended period of time. Additionally, adjusting the brace is not the most difficult thing to do. The twin straps provide me the ability to adjust the tightness or looseness of the straps to suit my comfort level. On days when the discomfort was a little bit greater than normal and I required more support around my waist, that aspect proved to be really helpful. I have observed that the brace is very breathable, even while I am wearing it for a little exercise or when I am doing chores around the home. This is one of the most important aspects that I have been aware of. I did not make a good first assumption that anything that is so supportive would definitely lead to excessive perspiration or discomfort; yet, the material seems to give a reasonable degree of ventilation. Consequently, I won't have to worry about continually tinkering with it or having the sensation that I need to remove it the minute I start to feel a little bit warm. I believe that the design finds a wonderful mix between sturdiness and breathability, which is a considerable advantage if you want to wear it for prolonged periods of time, such as many hours at a time.

First off, I'm very impressed and do recommend this for people to give a try. The manufacturer offers money back after a trial, and you can't be fairer than that. I'm not sure it'll work for me, but then that might require a miracle... I have severe sciatica, severe enough that I have long been approved for an L5-S1 spinal fusion, and told that I'm not a candidate for any less-invasive surgery. I really don't like the old-school approach to that kind of surgery which guarantees you to be recovering for a year, with something like 50-50 results in outcomes. So this drew my eye... sure I'd test it. I'd have to say I'm impressed, but it restricts my breathing enough that I don't think it'll be practical to wear for long, lest I get pickwickian hypoventilating, which can cause problems on its own, like pulmonary hypertension. Still... it's reasonable to try everything before you let them torque some big stainless lag screws into your spinal column. I'm a 6' guy 200lbs with a bit of a gut, and the XXL fits fine. I like the way the side bands allow you to up compression in a measured way, good design there. Very high quality velcro-style closures with a generous amount of area, very secure. I've worn this much of today, and will remove it soon since it is restricting my breathing, but I will return to testing it. I am using the added cushion on the area my sciatica originates. I have radiating numbness and electrical-like pain that can be consuming. This feels like it MIGHT help some if it wasn't for my gut, and those without extra abdominal fat might well find it is far less restrictive of breathing. So why give this 5 stars if I don't think it'll work for me? I was going to give it 4... but frankly, the generous refund policy, the excellent design and build, and the hint that maybe my sciatica was a bit better, just maybe... these mean I need to give this a 5-star review. My own fault that I have a gut. Without the money-back guarantee for the first year - which is stated in the paperwork that comes with it - it'd be a 4. Clearly, this counts on them honoring that. But hey, give it a try. Not much will help sciatica and low back problems. If you don't mind shallow breathing, this might be a partial answer for you, and reasonably priced.

This is true to size! In fact, this is a great back brace support compression wrap & is exactly what I was looking for to aid in my grandpa’s ’recovery! It is still hurting now, so I’ll hoping this will help him. Lower back pain is not fun. Hopefully this will work well for him. I will update this if it isn’t as supportive as I think it will be. It looks great and is functional as well! It’s easy to adjust the size. This was packaged well and shipped quickly. This arrived ready to use and can be used under your clothes while you work at home or out and about.
