This topper made me realize that it was my mattress causing me to wake up stiff, sore and barely able to get out of the bed. In addition, I was only sleeping a few hours a night due to tossing and turning. Our mattress is pretty new, so we never imagined it was the cause. After many trips to the chiropractor, massages, Motrin, I decided to give this a shot. On the very first night I slept on it, I slept a full night and got out of bed pain free! I thought it was a fluke, but night after night I have been sleeping well, and no pain. I have two real bad knees as well that keep me up at night as well, and I don’t know how or why, but they don’t even hurt anymore during the night or when getting out of bed. So besides that, the pad keeps you from getting too hot. I would recommend trying this for the money you can’t go wrong. It saved us from taking a loss on our mattress and buying a new one. It’s very comfy. If you like a really firm support, this might not be for you however. This topper definitely made our mattress more comfortable. Wanted a 4” but the price difference on those versus this option made me give this a try. Only have used for about a month so cannot speak to longevity but comfy right out of package. But of a chemical odor first couple of days but that was expected. Figment is a bit off on our king but otherwise good. 5 stars if it had a way to secure to the mattress itself, it does slide pretty easily on our bed. ... show more

Be sure your fitted sheets will accommodate the extra 3 inches. It seems that the depth of a topper should be measured from the bottom to its lowest point at the top, which is 2” for this topper. From the base to the highest peak, it is 3”, However, it is very comfortable and somewhat firm. I use it over an inflatable mattress, which makes it better than a standard bed and easier to move around than a full sized foam mattress. It arrived well packaged and quickly. You know, it's really enjoyable when you purchase a product which lives up to all its claims...This is one of those products. Our queen mattress was causing my wife to experience severe hip and back pain which would wake her from sleep many times nightly. We purchased this item at a price I felt was very reasonable (although right now it is an even better deal). The item arrived in a single walled box compressed in plastic and bagged for protection. It was in perfect condition. I removed the topper and laid it on our mattress. There was no noticeable odor and within hours it was ready for use. I placed both it and the mattress in a water/dust/bug proof cover, made the bed and waited for bed time. I can't really state succinctly enough just how wonderfully comfortable and cozy this topper makes our bed feel. The "zones" really make this topper a dream to sleep on. It transformed our expensive but overly-firm mattress into an astoundingly luxurious delight. The gel (or perhaps the toppers construction) does keep the sleeper cooler than when sleeping on the mattress alone. My wife has experienced NO hip or other pains since we began sleeping on it. That truth alone is almost miraculous. I fully recommend this mattress topper to anyone looking to change their sleep experience from anything less than excellent to "absolutely phenomenal".
