You know, it's really enjoyable when you purchase a product which lives up to all its claims...This is one of those products. Our queen mattress was causing my wife to experience severe hip and back pain which would wake her from sleep many times nightly. We purchased this item at a price I felt was very reasonable (although right now it is an even better deal). The item arrived in a single walled box compressed in plastic and bagged for protection. It was in perfect condition. I removed the topper and laid it on our mattress. There was no noticeable odor and within hours it was ready for use. I placed both it and the mattress in a water/dust/bug proof cover, made the bed and waited for bed time. I can't really state succinctly enough just how wonderfully comfortable and cozy this topper makes our bed feel. The "zones" really make this topper a dream to sleep on. It transformed our expensive but overly-firm mattress into an astoundingly luxurious delight. The gel (or perhaps the toppers construction) does keep the sleeper cooler than when sleeping on the mattress alone. My wife has experienced NO hip or other pains since we began sleeping on it. That truth alone is almost miraculous. I fully recommend this mattress topper to anyone looking to change their sleep experience from anything less than excellent to "absolutely phenomenal". It seems that the depth of a topper should be measured from the bottom to its lowest point at the top, which is 2” for this topper. From the base to the highest peak, it is 3”, However, it is very comfortable and somewhat firm. I use it over an inflatable mattress, which makes it better than a standard bed and easier to move around than a full sized foam mattress. It arrived well packaged and quickly. I have a sleep number bed but that started giving me back pains after a couple of years. It was suggested that maybe I replace the foam that is inside the mattress zipper section. Comfy af. I’m a all-position sleeper and have always had a hard time getting comfortable sleep; also have slight scoliosis so my spine pulling a bit of a childish gambino on me which don’t help. I got this and another 4inch pad to put under it and now I’m sleeping much better and my back doesn’t hurt or feel strained waking up anymore. But, I’ll just let my dog show how wonderful it is. We got it on Thursday, the 3 inch topper. She typically stays in our bed, it’s hit or miss. She tends to walk around in circles on the bed trying to find a comfortable spot, and she doesn’t stay still for long. We got the topper. This is how she’s sleeping now. She gets in and immediately falls asleep, she even drools a little, as you can see from the photo. She also stays in one spot and doesn’t have to fidget around the comfortable. For those of you that want a human opinion, it’s fantastic. It’s soft, yet firm at the same time. My husband has pins in his back, he said he hasn’t had pain in the morning for the last two mornings. And im starting pre-menopause, so I tend to get mild hot flashes through the night. The cooling gel keeps me cool the entire night, not waking up with my hair a mess from sweating during the night. This is the best mattress topper I have ever had. It helps my lower back pain, hip pain and shoulder pain. I sleep amazing on it. You can't beat the price. I do recommend a mattress cover for it or you feel the foam's rubbery texture through the sheets.

I've only had this on our bed for 3 days/nights. I suffer with horrible back/hip pain. I also have insomnia. Comfort is imperative if I'm going to get any rest, let alone sleep. I feel like I'm crawling into a cloud at night! It's soft and comfortable and yet still supports my entire body. I am so grateful to have taken the chance on this one! I am a side sleeper and love feeling like I slept on clouds. My husband is a stomach/back sleeper and like firm beds so we compromised on a semi firm bed. For the last 5 years I have woken up as if I got hit by a Mack truck. I thought it was from standing on my feet all day. Even after intense massages, I still woke up the next morning feeling beat up. I finally had enough! I picked this mattress topper instead the usual “Amazon pick” because of the star ratings and consistent positive reviews. I am on Day 3 of waking up without ANY back pain! I chose the 4” topper because my husbands side tends to sink and he had no problem sleeping. 1. Does not make me have night sweats 2. After opening give the full 12+ hours prior to use 3. Topper feels plush (at least the 4” does) 4. Sleep like a baby on clouds I am so happy with this purchase! My body is thanking me!!! PS.
