I wasted $600 on this thing. I bought this because it is the same spec as a Quest 2. My logic: it is lower resolution so it should be light on the PC. That means it will run well, and setup should be easier than enabling Quest link for PCVR. It isn't. The software UI is ok but the display mode switching while plugging in the headsets breaks OBS. It's near impossible to plug the headset in during a livestream. You would need to do all the setup before the stream. Room detection worked ok, maybe 60% of the time. The worst issue by far is the stutter / frame pacing issue that was present during my American Truck Sim sessions. VR was smooth, but graphics would skip 10-15 frames every few seconds. The headset did stay cool although the fan in the headset can get annoying. At this price, it's one of if not the most expensive, lower resolution headsets on the market. It should just work, but doesn't. The PC used in my rig was an ultra 7 265K with an RTX 5080.

The black version of the DPVR E4 has a few upgrades over the original white version. Improved cooling system and better cables. A great PCVR headset.

Positives: Amazing visuals and fantastic stero overlap, provides a fantastic sense of presence and when it works, it's smooth as heck. Negitives: extremely poor build quality that does not take longevity of product into account. It WILL overheat, making removal of the front plate nessasary to keep it alive. I didn't do this and my device is now unusable. Manufacturing return window is one week, customer support is incompetent at solving issues.
