Recently experienced an extended power outage at our home due to bad storms. We knew about gasoline / propane generators, but recently found out about tri-fuel generators that can also run on natural gas. Since we have a natural gas line at our patio for the grill, we purchased the generator as a back up power source. The natural gas hose was just the right length / distance from the house, came with the adapter to help attach the quick connect receiver / female to the natural gas line. Hose and quick-connect ends are what I needed to connect my tri-fuel generator to the house natural gas line for power outtages. Like a few others have reported, I did NOT receive the 3/8 Female to 1/2 Male Adapter... but I did not need it for my application. What I DID need however was a male to male adapter to connect the female quick connect end. Amazon suggested a Brass Pipe Fitting, Hex Nipple 1/2" x 1/2" NPT Male Pipe as an item frequently bought together. Well... this was not the part needed to fit to the flared female end of the hose. What you really need is a 1/2" Flare x 1/2 Inch NPT Male Brass Couples Tube Fitting. Neither was expensive, but would have been nice to get it right the first time as an amateur. See photos for better clarity. Hose is good quality and would buy it again.

I have a Weber S-435 grill. It came with a 10 ft hose. We moved house, and I needed a longer hose to reach the outdoor gas pipe. Bought this one. It was delivered overnight. It looked solid, and good quality. All of the parts were there (unlike a purchase from a different company, which sent a used item, missing a quick connect). I had it installed in about 10 minutes. I have a combustible gas "sniffer", so I tested all three connections (quick connect input, quick connect output, and flare fitting at grill); all of them were perfect.

So the product itself is fine. It seems pretty high quality and functional, however it does not tell you that you need a 1/2 inch FLARE coupling to go on the female swivel end to them connect to whatever you need to. When you buy it, be sure you know what you are connecting to and add the 1/2 in flare end while you are at it.

This is well made and very easy to install, I purchased it to replace a similar hose from an alternate mfg that a rodent decided to gnaw on one day and caused a gas leak. I unscrewed the old one, used some gas thread seal and screwed this on in a couple minutes.
