It's kelp all right just open the box and your nose will tell you. I started to use liquid kelp when went organic on my lawn and you could smell it I was TOLD. Then one lawn program had this in dry form so no more complaints but that was years ago. Now going back to using best (Ringer) fertilizer and will add this along with iron supplements to fertilizer bag so when applied no fear of runoff putting to much down just enough nutrients without waste. Update; returned this not for any other reason than for few dollars more got lot bigger bag from another well known brand.

As other reviewer has noted, this is not a large box, but is about the size of a small baking soda box weighing 1/2 pound. There are other brands of granulated kelp meal selling for 1/4 the price.

My nectarine tree leave were turning yellow and falling off. I started adding kelp to the soil, the leaves are green and healthy and now the tree is full of blooms. It is an indoor plant. Thanks for bringing the tree back to health.
