My husband and I are renovating an older 1990 home that used to have the absolute ugliest vertical blinds throughout the house, including the sliding glass door leading to the Florida room from our kitchen. I didn’t want to swap old blinds for newer ones—I wanted something sleek, modern, and functional. This frosted window film delivered exactly that! The horizontal lines add a clean, contemporary vibe and give the door a high-end, almost architectural look. It lets in soft, diffused light while providing privacy. The end result looks polished and custom—like something you'd see in a luxury place, not a DIY project. Application was a breeze. It was easy to cut and forgiving during install. The bubbles worked out nicely, but be warned—leave at least 1/8 inch on each edge. If you go edge to edge, the bubbles get trapped and it won’t adhere properly. Once it dried, it stuck securely and hasn't lifted at all. Prep is key! We scraped off any gunk, cleaned with glass cleaner, then went over everything with soapy ammonia water before squeegeeing it dry. During install, spray everything: the glass, the adhesive side of the film, even the front. You’ll absolutely need a good squeegee to get the best results. If you’re looking for an affordable upgrade that instantly modernizes a space, this is it. Highly recommend!

I have this EVERYWHERE in my house. We have an absurd amount of windows and sliding doors downstairs, and our dogs like to bark at every golf cart, motorcycle, dog, horse etc that passes by. I put this film on the lower half of every window, and the lower half of the sliding doors. It looks nice, is super easy to apply, and most importantly my dogs are no longer obsessed with every single thing that moves outside. They can still see movement and shadows if someone approaches the house, and they can (and will… LOUDLY) alert us. I like that we still get all the natural light, and it didn’t cost a fortune. It clings so there’s no residue or glue left behind if you change your mind.

Sooo pretty up on my windows when the sun comes through! This doesn’t really reduce heat if that’s what you’re looking for, but still so pretty. Easy to put up, haven’t had it fall/peel/lift and it’s been months. Hopefully there’s not creeps doing so but we tested and if you get close enough you can still see through but overall still a decent amount of privacy.

I'm impressed, this was actually so easy to install using just water and a little scraper to get rid of the bubbles, it's 10/10 and for such a great price. It came with no tools so you'll need your own scraper, cutter, scissors, etc. The light goes through very well, which is what we wanted, while giving us more privacy than the curtains this apartment came with. Once the excess water is removed the film doesn't move at all, it looks like it will hold very well but I'll try to update this review in the future.

The film is a decent thickness, but not easy for a 73-year old woman to handle. Don't install it on a windy day. Also, I highly recommend using a T-square, which I don't have anymore, to cut a straight, square edge. It looks nice if you can get all the water/air bubbles out. The roll I bought was enough to cover the upper half of a sash window. I recommend overlapping the pieces of film, and then cutting through both of them and removing the excess so that they overlap perfectly, as you would with wallpaper. Luckily, I have fake mullions on the window, so I hid that overlap cut behind a mullion. I deducted two stars because there was a crease in the second piece I cut - it was hidden in the roll until I cut off the first piece. There was not enough film left to avoid having to use the second piece with the visible crease. I wasn't happy about that. Had it been near the outer edge, I could have returned it before cutting the second piece. The bubbles are nearly impossible to remove, or they were for me. I'm not sure I would recommend this, but I'm not taking it down until I see how it works on a sunny day.

As other reviews state, this film is pretty sheer. I live in a basement apartment. My windows are part of the walkway people use to get to their apartment. There is a concrete wall facing my apartment as well. There are also no ceiling lights in any of the bedrooms. So, there is no privacy if I open my blinds to let in light, and it can be very, very dark during the day. I wanted something that would allow me to feel comfortable leaving my windows open during the day but wouldn't block the much-needed sunlight. I knew this was on the sheer side, but that works great for my needs. The film is forgiving and easy to apply. I had to adjust it a few times, and it didn't compromise the film's ability to adhere to my windows, which is a major plus. I've used other window films, and this one is definitely the easiest to apply. It is easiest to apply window film with a spray bottle and those little squeegee tools, but I just applied this film by getting my window wet, lining the film up, and using a credit card to smooth it out. If you get only one tool when you apply this film, I recommend getting an exacto knife. I only got enough for my bedroom window to test it out and see if I wanted to get more. I'll be getting more for the rest of my windows. I've checked my windows from the outside to see how much privacy I'm getting. It blurs/distorts the room slightly. Just enough to work, clean, or be in my room without feeling exposed. That said, I probably wouldn't dress with my windows open. These definitely don't offer enough privacy for that. If privacy isn't your concern, this film is also a fun decor item. I love getting more light in my bedroom and the fun rainbows the film casts all over my room. I've had this film for a few months, and it's held up great. I've seen no peeling or any other issues.
