When you open the package, the first thing you’ll notice is how difficult it is to separate the rolls from each other. This is some sticky tape. It makes me wonder where and how I’m going to store it because there is enough adhesive on the edges of the roll to adhere to whatever it touches. I’m thinking that maybe some wax paper applied and trimmed to both sides of each roll might work to keep the dust and debris from collecting on it. As to its performance, I was very impressed. The tape is easy to pull off the roll and apply. The paper backing is removed easily using your fingernail and the actual tape portion is very thin. I grabbed a piece of thin, rather porous unsanded plywood, and stuck a couple of 4” strips down. I laid a 1lb stainless steel disk on it and gave it a good press into the tape. It held the disk both vertically and upside down. I suspended the plywood between two blocks of wood with the weight hanging upside down overnight and it held with no problem. In fact, I had to use a screwdriver and pry the disk off the tape. I was then able to scrape the edge of the tape with my fingernail and remove each piece with little effort. Because the tape has a fiber thread laid in the adhesive, the tape comes up in one piece with no tearing and there was no residue left on the plywood after removal. It also didn’t pull off any of the fibers in the wood. For the simple fact that it’s easy to remove, this is some great tape, if I can just figure out how to store it.

This is a really strong tape. The tape is basically two layers of adhesive with a fiber reinforcement between them. You cannot tear this tape you must cut this tape, sharp scissors are highly recommended. I use this tape to hold down wood for the CNC, the tape held the wood securely yet I was able to lift the wood off the table when complete. The tape was easy to peel off the wood and it left no residue. In addition to using it to hold wood down on the CNC, I also use this tape for multiple layer laser cut projects I applied the tape to the back of one piece, then laser cut through the wood and tape. This is so much better than using glue to assemble multiple layer laser projects. Using the tape like this lets me assemble the project quickly with no mess. It holds up really well.

I'm happy with this tape ability to hold my work pieces, but it does leave some residue behind once the tape is removed. further, the tape is like a mesh and has a tendency to wrinkle when putting down if not careful.

This is my first experience with woodworking tape, although I've been wanting to get some for quite some time. The first thing I noticed was how difficult it was to work with. Just getting it out of the package was a nightmare - stuff sticking to everything, the outer plastic sticking to the adhesive, etc. Then, while using it, you have to be careful not to set the roll down on any dirty surface so that you don't pick up the dirt from it onto the roll. Very difficult to use, at least until you get the hang of it. So why still does it get five stars?? First of all, I'm sure that this stuff is notoriously difficult to use, regardless of brand (maybe I'm wrong, but that's a big assumption I'm going to make). Second, the utility of the product, oh five stars all the way! It's super low profile, very thin. It's super sticky and has a very strong hold. Still, it comes off without residue being left behind. It's actually pretty amazing. And when you're done with it and you've peeled it back up, you can just roll it into a neat little ball and throw it away. For my first experience with it, I'm impressed. I'm not going to knock a product for something that you should expect from the product (to be sticky) - it would be like taking stars off of a knife because it was so sharp that you cut yourself with it - just not going to do it.

This tape is great for holding templates in place or holding stock for routing and milling operations. It can also be used in almost any application where you need a medium strength 2-sided adhesive tape that is removeable. The tape is fiber reinforced so it stays together when you need it to. It holds well when you just need to keep an item in place, and works better than rubber mats or hot glue. It also prevents the marring that clamps or dogs may cause and doesn't get in the way of your tools. Most importantly, it removes well when you're done, without leaving any noticeable residue (if you only leave it on for a short time). Some adhesive may be left around the edges when you remove the tape, but it can be cleaned up by just sticking the used tape to it. One big caution... don't use too much of it. It holds quite well and I found myself struggling to remove the piece in a few instances where I used too much. It also helps for removal if you align all of the tape in the same direction. I typically wrap a bit of paper around an exposed edge of the tape so I have something to grab onto to remove it. Otherwise you may need to lift it with a scraper. The issues with the product are that it is a bit thicker than some alternatives, which may be a challenge with some template applications, and also that it is a bit more expensive to use than many of the alternatives.

This is my review of TRAZON Double-Sided Woodworking Tape Super Strong, 2 Inch x 120 Feet. I use this tape to secure wood blanks to my CNC table for processing. This tape features a strong reenforced clear film that adheres well to the spoil board and the wood blank to hold the plaque in place during machining. The clear look of the tape is a bonus for me due to the fact I mark the location on the table where the blank should be placed. I can see the marks through the tape simplifying alignment. After processing the blank, the tape removes with ease and does not leave residue on the table or plaque. This product performed very well, comparable to my normal brand of tape with the added benefit of the clear view so I would rate the product 5 stars as it has impressed me.
