Does the job once you've spent the time required to put the tape on what you're trying to mount. STEP ONE -- Cut a length of tape. I dare you. STEP TWO -- Do your best to recover your scissors from the tape. STEP THREE -- Start all over again, since the tape has now been scrunched up into a ball after successfully extricating your scissors. STEP FOUR -- Try it with your knife this time. STEP FIVE -- Repeat Step Two (I'm still trying to clean my pocket knife). STEP SIX -- Apply tape to surface. STEP SEVEN -- Remove the backing.     • Transfer Adhesive Only - be aware what you are buying!

There have been some reviews here that are from folks unaware that that this is NOT "two-sided tape". (even though it is being sold as "tape"). We need a different word in the English language. This is TRANSFER ADHESIVE! "Two-sided tape" has a center carrier layer with adhesive on each side. It does not stretch. It is more stable when handling & cutting to length. Two-sided tape works well in many large flat applications. THIS product is different. It allows you to lay down a thick, conformal adhesive layer only. The adhesive WILL stretch (and eventually come apart if you keep pulling) but the good part of that is that this adhesive conforms well to convoluted or curved surfaces as well as flat surfaces. You cut to length, stick it down to TRANSFER it to the first surface to be bonded & then remove the red carrier strip, exposing the other side of the adhesive layer to bond your second surface to. This stuff is REALLY strong. I have been using it on LED light strips and its terrific for hanging the lights and hiding the wires. I knocked a star off for “ease to remove” because I mounted an LED strip to glass, decided i wanted to move it, and it would not move. I didnt pull too hard because i didnt want to break the strip and the position was good enough. But at least i know i can count on that strip hanging upside down for months to come without worry! removing it off wood and metal was much easier. And i‘Ve found the strength of the hold to be just as strong. Im hiding tons if wire by running it up and down the sides of my cabinets and they are holding tight. ... show more

Tried sticking smooth-backed flexible LED light strip to underside of smooth shelving, but fell right off, even after holding it firmly in place for about a minute. Also, trying to get the red backing film off other side of tape nearly impossible, even trying to follow the manufacturer instructions. I returned the tape. ... show more

I am using this explicitly for re-attaching window alarms. The magnet that sits above the wired sensor on the window frame is prone to come loose and needs to be reattached securely. This tape is outstanding. It is just a few millimeters to wide but using utility knife makes easy work of customizing this install. Just insure to remove the old adhesive completely. This tape is great. I purchased it for a so called self adhesive pedestal sink skirt. It kept falling off every day, literally. Once I discovered this tape, oh my! It seems to stick ok, but they packaged it with paper stuck to one side of the roll making it extremely difficult to smoothly lay it down straight. You keep having to stop and pull it off the paper which makes it stretch out. Returning
