Nano tape is the premier alternative to putting holes in walls, and I use it often. The tape is flexible, super sticky, and very strong, so it lends itself to a variety of uses. Like other items of this type, removing the clear liner requires a lot of patience, good eyesight, and sometimes a pair of tweezers, but the end result makes that bit of frustration worthwhile. Almost, lol. That said, nano tape in general is definitely NOT for use on painted walls, where removal will most certainly cause significant damage. I know this because my first exposure to it was through a friend 3 years ago, who offered to help me secure a wobbly 8ft high cat tower to a wall using "this great new tape that caused no damage to walls and was easily removable". Sure enough, the cat tower did not move a millimeter for two whole years, despite my 3 cats running up and down it constantly. The thrill (and the friendship) quickly ended when it came time to replace the cat tower and there was no way to separate it from the wall, except for some very heavy huffing, puffing, and pulling... which brought the paint, and a couple layers of drywall, off along with the cat tower. I was far from amused and, upon doing some research, learned that it is not recommended for painted walls. This same friend, who was a house guest for a while, had taken the liberty to affix a number of other things to my walls with nano tape as well, so this was one expensive lesson for me. Grrrrrr. After taking the time to learn about nano tape and its proper uses, applications, and removal techniques, I've had great success with it and nothing I've used it on (besides that disastrous first time) has ever fallen or come apart. This brand in particular is especially strong and sticky, and it's very well priced so I highly recommend it. However, the Amazon page is rather sparse and it doesn't come with removal instructions, so sharing my first experience here in the hope that I can save some newbies from making an expensive mistake by not taking the recommendations in this ad seriously, or listening to half-witted friends. :))

My first and only experience prior to getting this thicker, wider nano tape was some narrower nano tape that my husband used to affix the hub for my computer peripherals under my desk. Up until he did that, the hub was on the floor - sort of - and a couple of peripherals (like my computer camera) would get unplugged because their cords barely reached. The issue has been solved by affixing the hub to near the top of the front wood skirt of my desk and it has stayed there for months with no problem! I tried using just a tiny piece of this larger, thicker nano tape to affix a piece of paper to the inside of one of my cabinet doors (one of my favorite places to keep oft-used recipes!). After putting the small piece of tape to the back side of my paper, I discovered I'd put it on the wrong edge, so attempted to move it (this was less than 30 seconds after I put it on the paper). This tape is so sticky, that it started to take paper with it, so I just left it in place. This has taught me to test in a small inconspicuous area before using it on anything I care about. I actually got this tape because it is advertised on the product page as good for "Carpet." I have an area rug by our front door that wants to slide a lot and it slides off of the rug pad. I used this tape to see if I can at least keep the rug and its pad aligned by putting pieces in all four corners between the area rug and its pad. We'll see how it goes. Also, I've had no difficulty in removing the clear liner from one side of the tape. I suggest storing the tape inside a plastic bag as the sides of the rolls are very sticky and can stick to any surface you lay them on.

This works as it should. I've used it to hang shelves in my bathroom and a remote control pocket in my bedroom. I've used it in the shower to attach some hanging baskets and it's still holding despite the water and the humidity. As a renter, I don't want to make any holes in the wall that I would have to repair upon moving. This tape is perfect. I also tested it to see if it would come off easily and it did. Simply twist the object you have attached to it and it comes right off. It didn't leave any residue on the wall either. The paint did not come off either and my landlord does not use good paint. As I haven't used it on wallpaper, I don't know if it would take the wallpaper with it upon removal. I have a feeling it would, so I would use it judiciously on paper. The only problem with these rolls of tape is how to store them once they're opened. If you lay it down, it sticks to the surface. I had opened one and stacked them altogether. When it came time to use it, I had to yank on it to get it loose from the paper-covered ones. I'm keeping the plastic covering on them, until I need another roll. You may want to keep this in mind when you're using it. Be careful what surface you lay it on.

I've previously purchased tape just like this and it has unlimited uses. The adhesion is pretty mindblowing, but if you need to, you can remove it and wash off any residue and use it again. I've actually used this before on a 3D-Printed phone mount for the shower and it's so solid that it feels like it's screwed into the tile. Just buy a roll to have in your arsenal. This stuff is amazing.
