I love this idea, when I bought it, I assumed it was ceramic, I should have realized that it wasn't BUT with very little use and it sitting on top of my microwave, I discovered it cracked one day (?) then the other side cracked and it basically broke apart on the bottom portion of the bowl. :( I will be looking for a ceramic one because I do love the idea of the bowl. We love pistachios. We are always using two bowls; one for the nuts, one for the empty shells. takes up room on the table...this just makes so much sense! I laugh when ever we use it cuz it looks kinda " cheepo" with its shocker green color, but I have to say, it is very sturdy. So, it is sturdy, serves a really good purpose, is of decent quality and it makes me laugh; doesn't get any better than that!!! ... show more

Love that these 2 stacking bowls have a bowl on the bottom with openings for the shells to be placed. Wish they were made from better plastic. The hard quality plastic used to make these bowls cause concern that they will crack easily.
