I am quite happy with these bowls. Each has a different pattern but they go together well. The four sizes are very useful for me. I made a chicken pot pie for six people using the largest bowl and it worked beautifully. I usually don't think much about lids because they are generally all alike. The lids for these bowls fits tightly and have a vent in the center of the top. I use the vent to push out extra air to keep a right seal although I think they are meant for the microwave. I don't use plastic in the microwave any more so these lids should last a while. I will note that one of the bowls was broken when I received them. I used Amazon's return process and had my replacements in a few days. I was pleased with their quick attention to my problem.

Nicely done, and especially nice that they nest so efficiently leaving a small footprint in my cupboard (pic 3). They are porcelain, not plastic, and come with a 2-step, plastic lid system that provides a super tight seal (pic 2). They are microwave safe and can be placed into the dishwasher, however, I'm not sure about putting the lids into the dishwasher as the seal is somewhat delicate? I probably won't chance it myself, and will choose to wash the lids by hand. These are pretty enough to be used as serving bowls, and I actually love their smaller size. They come packed well for shipping and look like a high-quality item. Recommend!

These have a beautiful pattern on them, it is different on each and has vibrant colors and clear printing. I use them to serve Indian food and other dishes, and it provides a beautiful splash of color. They are thick and heavy duty. They come in 4 sizes and nest inside each other. The lids are fine, and have a vent on them, but I wouldn't microwave with them on personally. They seem to be the weakest link in the set, but so far they have held up great and haven't melted or stained since I don't microwave with them on.

I love that these nesting bowls are ceramic so that, unlike my metal or melamine sets, I can microwave the contents. They even come with vented lids for this purpose. The thickness and patterns are all great. My only slight complaint is you can't put the lids on the smaller bowls when you stack them. But other than that, I really like this set and will happily use them to store soup and chili all winter.

What an attractive set of heavy bowls. Love that they nest to save space. While advertised as ‘mixing bowls,’ these are equally useful as colorful serving dishes, or for sticking prepared food in the freezer. (With lids in place, the bowls can also be stacked in fridge or freezer—more space-staving!) .) Lids are not suitable for microwave, but do fit tightly, with a clever little button that ensures a secure, almost air-tight seal.

Pros: Thick material; Heavy/sturdy construction; Beautiful design; Venting lids (helps with sealing and with reheating) Cons: Seem easy to crack/break; not very large to be referred to as "mixing bowls" - only can be used for small quantities Overall, these are beautiful bowls and care should be taken when handling them. I would recommend.
