This small animal (cats or small dogs) is of good quality plastic. It comes with a water bottle which has a valve cap that allows water into the water bowl when it is inserted or the water level drops – be sure to align the slots in the cap with the water channel when you insert it. The food dish is stainless steel and is easy to clean. The water bottle held enough water for 3 days for our cat, but we change it every 2 days. It also comes with a non-slip base that the combo food/water feeding station sits on (see notes below). The only component which is dishwasher safe is the stainless steel bowl. Hand wash all other components. I am generally pleased with this order (see notes below for issues), but I am knocking off 1-star on the rating. Suggestions (long time cat owners): --- When you refill the water bottle, add a few drops of pet teeth cleaner to the water – good for pet’s teeth health. We use Oxyfresh (available on AMAZON), which is for both dogs and cats – freshens breath, cleans teeth, fights tarter. --- Also, it is advised to change the water no longer than every 2–3 days (best is every day), whether it is empty or not. Keep track of water consumption so that if you notice changes from the normal amount, there may be medical problems that need to be checked out. The limited size of the small water bottle simplifies this monitoring - you can use a marking pen to flag the normal amount consumed by the pet. NOTES (Minus 1-star for these deficiencies): --- The water bottle cap does NOT have a washer to prevent leaking. A simple silicone or rubber washer would have solved the leaking problem. To stop the leaking when filling and inverting the bottle for installation into the water slot, I had to tighten the cap severely. Since the bottle does not hold a lot of water and the seller’s product webpage recommends daily fresh water (best), the leaking cap is a daily mess. I had tightened it so tight (until the leak stopped), that it was very hard to loosen the cap on the next refill. --- The non-slip pad prevents slipping – YES, sort of. The pad is very floppy and if you move the feeder even a little bit, the feeder slides off the non-slip pad (so it depends on your perspective to call it non-slip or not). It was a hassle when handling and positioning the feeder on the floor or counter. A pet that pushes the bowl at all will displace it. I replaced it with a silicone pad, which served the same non-slip purpose without the hassle.

I used this food and water bowl combo for about a month, and overall I do like the idea. It is convenient having the feeder and automatic water dispenser together, and the stainless steel food bowl is easy to clean. The blue color is cute, and it works fine for small pets. That said, there are a few things that could be improved. The water bottle is pretty small, especially if you have multiple cats. I have three cats and end up refilling it about twice a day, so it may be better suited for just one pet. The guard over the water bowl also does not fit very securely, and one of my cats can flip it out with her foot. The included non-slip mat helps a little, but it is soft, floppy, and not attached to the dish. Filling the water bottle can also be awkward if there is already food in the other bowl, since you either have to turn the unit upside down or screw it in quickly while water leaks. I like this feeder and water bowl combo, but the water capacity, loose guard, and refill design could definitely be better.

This feeding bowl set turned out to be much more practical and well-designed than I expected. It combines several small features that together make everyday feeding cleaner, easier, and more organized for both pets and owners. The automatic water dispenser is probably my favorite part. It keeps fresh water available consistently without needing constant refills throughout the day, which is especially helpful if you’re busy or away from home for several hours. In the summer heat and dryness in the West I have a hard time keeping water bowls filled for the outdoor cats. They’re both drinking them quickly, and what water remains gets evaporated quickly as well. So I thought trying out this food bowl and water reservoir set might solve the problem, and so far it’s been great. I wasn’t sure of what to think with the white cover that goes over the water bowl, but now I’ve come to appreciate it. Not only does it prevent debris for getting into the bowl (as intended), but it’s also slowing the rate of evaporation out of the bowl vs wide, flat bowls with large surface area from which to evaporate water. We can get through a whole day and a night before needing to refill the bottle- previously a bowl of water would only last 8 hours. I appreciate that the food bowl is removable, metal, and easy to clean- much healthier for pets to eat out of. I love that this set included a washable, silicon slip free, fitted mat base for the set to rest into- a nice and helpful touch. All in all, a good food and watering set for small pets.

Great for on the go. I have 2 cats and ha ing something that easily cleans, moves, and disassembles is important to me. I did reduce a star because the cap for the water dispenser is a bit too intricate so it is hard to clean, but everything else easily comes off and is dishwasher safe (on the top shelf). I also appreciate that the metal food bowl can be used outside of the whole contraption. It is large enough that my 7lbs cats dont get whisker fatigue. I do wish that it could be convertible to 2 food bowls, but c'est la vie. I do appreciate them including a silicone mat to help with slickness, buuuut I do wish it was a flat square mat since it would help with water and food droppings. Seems counterintuitive to have to put a mat under that mat to help with cleanliness. Everything is fully plastic, so do not store in hot areas. Only inside so micoplatics dont seep into the water.

I am really happy with this feeding station for my 8 lb Shorkie. The size is absolutely perfect for a small dog like mine. It provides enough space for a full meal without taking up too much room on my kitchen floor. The automatic water refill is a lifesaver. It keeps the water bowl full without me having to constantly check it, and the 17 oz capacity is just right for a couple of days. I love that the food bowl is stainless steel since it is so much easier to keep clean and feels more hygienic than plastic options. The anti slip design actually works. My dog tends to push bowls around while eating, but this base stays put. It also does a great job of catching splashes, which keeps the area under the bowls dry. The Chic Mondrian color looks modern and fits in well with my home. It is a solid, well thought out set that makes mealtime much more organized. This is definitely a great value!
