This was a reasonably priced replacement for my stock unit in my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I did buy the double din adapter kit which included the cable and antenna connector. I set the diagram of the radio and the kit side by side and matched up the wires easily. Set up was quick and easy. Tip: if you are plugging in a USB with music use WMA or M4A or mp3 files. It doesn't like mp4. My only complaint is that some of my older usb drives are to chunky to fit in the tight space for plugging them in. The solution is a small usb extention cable. Also the AM radios ability to pull in stations was limited. Overall I am happy with the sound, function and appearance (which is adjustable). The backup camera display is nice. A solid, economical replacement and for me, an upgrade.

This car stereo unit is a massive upgrade for any older vehicle. The first thing you notice when it arrives is the size of the screen. It's a 7 inch display that looks much more modern than those old-school single din radios. The build quality feels solid enough for a dashboard component and doesn't feel like cheap plastic. The installation process was straightforward since this fits the standard double DIN size. I didn't run into any major issues getting it mounted in my dash. It sits flush and looks like it belongs there. If you have an older truck or car, this is a great way to add some tech without replacing the whole dashboard. The wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features work exactly as promised. I connected my phone and it synced up almost instantly. There's no need to fumble with cables every time I get in the car. It handles navigation apps like Google Maps perfectly fine. The GPS signal stays steady even when I'm driving through areas with some trees around. The screen resolution is surprisingly sharp for a unit at this price point. I installed this double DIN head unit to replace the factory stereo, mainly because I wanted wireless Apple CarPlay and a backup camera without spending a fortune on one of the premium brands. It has been a nice upgrade and makes the interior feel much more modern. The 7-inch touchscreen is bright and easy to read, and the menus are simple enough that I didn't have to spend much time figuring everything out. Wireless Apple CarPlay connected quickly, and it's nice being able to get in the car and have navigation, music, and messages available without plugging my phone in every time. I also tested Android Auto with another phone, and it worked just as well. Bluetooth pairing was quick, and call quality has been clear on both ends. Music streams smoothly, and switching between Bluetooth audio, FM radio, and CarPlay is straightforward. I also like having physical buttons alongside the touchscreen for quick adjustments while driving. The included backup camera is a nice bonus. The picture is clear enough for parking and backing into tighter spaces, especially at night. Having that extra visibility makes everyday driving more convenient than relying on mirrors alone. Mirror Link worked well for displaying compatible apps from my phone, and I appreciate that the stereo also supports steering wheel controls and a subwoofer output. Got this radio to replace the stock CD radio on an aging 2011 Prius in order to get Apple CarPlay and a backup camera The double DIN size fit perfectly into the dash opening with the help of an install adapter kit by Scosche made just for the Prius. Quality of the radio build is just OK. The ISO-mount screw holes on the sides of the chassis are not threaded. In my 30 years of working on car radios, this is the first I have ever seen where the holes are not threaded. So you need to make your own threads by forcing in M5 screws. Another difficulty is the antenna hole at the back of the chassis. It's made in a way that the antenna cable can plug in but very difficult to remove. The center pin of the antenna is caught by something so you need some effort to wiggle it out. Once installed the radio works fine. Bluetooth pairing was easy. UI is intuitive enough to use without needing a manual. Sound quality is fine. The backup camera works well. Overall a good budget radio if you need something that just works. Now my car has CarPlay and a backup camera.

I picked up this 7-inch double din car stereo because I wanted to update my older vehicle with modern, relevant tech features. The addition of stable Bluetooth connectivity, reliable GPS navigation assistance, and a dedicated rearview backup camera has completely transformed the daily driving experience, making it feel much safer and more convenient. The mirroring feature is incredibly useful because it allows me or anyone in my family to easily plug their phone in and access their own media or navigation apps on the fly. The only thing to be mindful of before buying is that achieving a factory-finished installation takes a little extra planning and physical modification. I put this into a 2011 silverado to breath new life into it. The installation was straightforward, and once everything was set up it looked great. The wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work exactly as advertised. Being able to connect my phone without plugging it in every time is incredibly convenient. I use Siri regularly to make calls, send messages, play music, and get directions, and the voice control responds quickly and accurately, and had no issues with it. I use android less, but it did function when I tested it. The 7 inch touchscreen looks great and feels very responsive. The display is bright, clear, and easy to read even during the day. I also love the mirror link feature because it lets me project content from my phone directly onto the larger screen. It has been useful for maps and even entertaining passengers during longer trips. This feature also works with some media but not all media apps. Some apps have restrictions. The backup camera is decent, I have had worse. The picture quality is surprisingly sharp, even at night, and the wide viewing angle makes parking much easier and safer. Bluetooth calls come through clearly, and the built in microphone does a great job picking up my voice. I only tested the mic, I chose not to use it daily. Music streaming has been seamless with no connection issues. There are also plenty of extra features packed into this unit including FM radio, USB and auxiliary inputs, steering wheel control compatibility, customizable LED lighting, and strong sound output. For the price, the value is outstanding. This stereo brought modern technology into my car without breaking the bank. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable and feature rich upgrade.
