This is a great little speaker. It is a bit heavy and larger than I expected but it works great. It connects quickly and shuts itself off after several minutes of non use, thus saving battery life when you're out and about. Speaking of battery, it charges quickly and lasts a long time. The Doss Go blue tooth speaker is a very small speaker. It fits easily on the palm of my hand, which makes it very very portable. It has a solid build quality, and ipx 67 rating, which makes it weather proof, and dustproof. It can go about anywhere, and the built in carabiner makes that easy too. It has an sd card slot and usb port, and a large port cover which seals it well. While I have tried upwards of a dozen small speakers in the past year, the Doss stands out for its' sound quality. It is not the very smallest, or the loudest, but it is one of the best in terms of sound quality, and at a remarkable price! I would go so far as to say that it is just about impossible to get sound quality this good at this price. It is not audiophile sound, but at $25... is that realistic? That said I am not comparing it to the Bang and Olufson, at 10x the price, or the Sony, at twice the price, but I do think it is as good as, or better than some other very popular brands, which go for about 50%-100% more. In fact, there is only one I have found in this price range which I think is better (at double the price). Doss has been around for a while and they know what they are doing with sound. I have some very nice products from this company. They have consistently impressed me with both the sound and build quality. At this price point it is almost ridiculous to talk about or expect either, but with this little speaker you get both. The sound is clear and balanced and loud enough to enjoy as a personal speaker in or outdoors. I could not try the tws because I don't have a second, but I bet a pair would provide really decent sound in a small room. It is a nicely designed small speaker, with buttons/ controls which you can actually see! sanf which are simple to use. With an sd card this is one of the smallest sound systems around. There are no lights, no gadgets, just good sound in a small, well built speaker which you can safely take to the beach, hang on a bag or bike. It is easy to use/ intuitive and has good, solid blue tooth as well. Really, at this price you can not go wrong with this speaker. With the quality it offers it is a great value. ... show more

My last bluetooth speaker was much louder than this “new and improved model”. Not sure what they sacrificed volume for since it’s not as if there is much more clarity. AUTO SHUTS OFF WITHIN 10 MINUTES if nothing is being played. Extremely frustrating when the speaker is a distance away and you get a call or the podcast episode ends and you’re looking for something else to listen to. Gave it 2 stars because it at least connects immediately and has decent battery life (ONLY when not at full volume) ... show more

    • good sound for its size
I grabbed this so that I could have a speaker in my shower, and it'll be great for that purpose. The sound quality is good. Not high fidelity or anything like that, of course – you'd be foolish to expect that out of something like this – but for what it is, it's well-balanced. It's got good bass response, something that is lacking on a lot of small speakers – not overpowering, you're not going to think you're in a nightclub, but it's enough. It's a single speaker, so it's not stereo (at least not by itself – apparently you can pair two of these to achieve stereo sound, but I have it tried that), but it's got good enough coverage for a small area. Volume-wise... it's definitely loud enough for the shower. I'm a little less certain for other scenarios like outside at the pool, and I'll leave that for others to judge and report on. It will serve my purpose. The attached carabiner clip is perfect for attaching it to the towel bar in the back of my shower too. I haven't had this long enough to really test out battery life yet, but I'm not expecting any problems. If I do run into any I'll come back and update. Overall, I'm very happy with this speaker, and would definitely recommend it. You might (or might not, I haven't tried it) get better sound if you drop a lot more money on the Bose equivalent of it, but for $20 this one will do the job quite well. One thing to note – at first when I fired this up, the volume was really low and the sound was kind of tinny. I was about to give it a bad review. Then I discovered that if I turned off the "Headphone Safety" feature on my iPhone, both the volume and the sound got much better. Interesting because I tried the same thing with another speaker recently and it didn't make any difference. But anyway, if you're disappointed in the sound at first, check to see if your phone has this or a similar setting turned on, and turn it off if so (on the iPhone, it's under Settings->Sounds & Haptics -> Headphone Safety). ... show more
