I use the for my compost bin to keep it clean. With drier compost they do great for about 7 days between changes. If there is more moisture in the can such as chunks of produce vs peelings, they start to deteriorate in about 3 days. These bags felt flimsy like previous bags that started to decompose in my kitchen container HOWEVER the bags are much sturdier then previous compostable bags so now I think they're great. Like the feel of them & havent noticed any scent.
